  1. This is awesome! Any plans for vinyl decals/stickers?
  2. Final event of my tires, and it definitely shows. I was fighting the rear end every single run, time to invest in some 305s Bonus funny; oops.mp4
  3. I may be biased with my muscle car, but I'd love to see more fast tracks like this 😉 Would be cool to stagger 2 technical tracks for the miatas and 2 fast tracks for the v8s per season so we get the best of both worlds.
  4. Hey all, back before covid forced us to forego full day events and TOs, I was taking photos with my DSLR during the run groups I neither ran nor worked. I've been really wanting to get back into it again, but for obvious reasons I can't snap photos while running after cones on course. My question is, is it possible for me to sign up to run & work for the afternoon session, but arrive on-site for the morning session to take photos (or vice versa, run morning and take photos in afternoon)? I know AMP has a maximum limit of people that can be on site at once, so I wasn't sure if something could be worked out with me being on site for the full day. I wouldn't necessarily need to be on the track itself (though I would like to if possible), and all my photos will be free, public domain, and contain no water marks, as its just a non-professional hobby of mine. Quality wouldn't be nearly as great as Phil Veitch since I don't have all the super fancy equipment or experience 🙂 Here are some examples from 2019 Thanks!
  5. Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but I found this nifty little site the other day that lets you put in your make/model/year and spits out the different classifications it falls under. Its not an official SCCA site, so best to double check, but its a great starting point. https://www.scca-classifier.com/
  6. Rear diff finally gave up the goose... couldn't get power down out of the corners and my time suffered because of it. But all in all, still a great course and was a total blast. The old girl will spend next season on jack stands getting some much needed TLC.
  7. This has easily been my favorite course in the 3 years I've been doing AutoX. I was just thinking before the event how cool it would be if we had at least one track where we could go flat out almost the entire length of the track, and thats exactly what we got to do in those beginning slaloms. It was a great mix of extremely fast straights and tight corners with some good sweepers. Very well done!
  8. Awesome, thanks! The December event is also showing Friday the 17th, it should be Sat the 18th.

  10. What is SCCA RallyX? In a nutshell, RallyX is just AutoX but on dirt! You race against the clock on a different course each event using cones to indicate course direction. Drivers compete in one of four classes for the fastest average time, with course deviations and cone hits adding time. What are the minimum requirements? Snell approved helmet 2005 or newer (link) Battery must be securely fastened All loose items inside & outside the vehicle must be removed Wheel bearings must be in good operation condition Tires must not be excessively worn (visible cords, missing chunks) For convertibles, soft tops must be up and latched at all times Its a common misconception that a skid plate is required, but that's not the case! Though strongly recommended, skid plates are not a requirement to run at a RallyX event. Where is it located?: The current site used for RallyX is Motoland MX Park in Casa Grand. Motoland MX Park W Hanna St Casa Grande, AZ 85193 32.821177, -111.799970 (It is recommended to route your GPS by coordinates as google maps will take you to the wrong entrance) Classifications: S2 - Stock 2-Wheel Drive (FWD and RWD) S4 - Stock 4-Wheel Drive (AWD and 4WD) M2 - Modified 2-Wheel Drive (FWD and RWD) M4 - Modified 4-Wheel Drive (AWD and 4WD) Timing & Scoring: Each driver is given 6 runs, with a short break between runs 3 and 4 to re-flatten & wet the track. Unlike AutoX where your fastest time is used, in RallyX the seconds from all your runs are added up and ranked lowest to highest total seconds, so consistency is key. Hitting a cone adds +2 seconds, and course deviation adds +10 seconds. DNF is not used unless a driver truly does not ever cross the finish line. Run/Work & Itinerary: 7:30 am Registration/Check-In 8:00 am Tech Inspection opens 8:45 am Tech Inspection closes 8:50 am Driver's Meeting 9:00 am Course Hot- Run Group 1 (2-wheel drive / Stock Classes) Depending on number of attendees, the event can end anywhere between 2pm-5pm Running order is always as follows: Stock 2WD, Stock AWD, Modified 2WD, Modified AWD Work assignment will be during the run of your opposite classification (ex. if you run in stock 2WD, you work modified 2WD) When working course, its recommended to bring a mouth/nose covering of some kind (such as a bandana) as you will be engulfed by dust clouds quite frequently. 11. I edited my registration this morning to add my cousin as a guest, is that still okay to do or are we maxed out on drivers & guests?
  12. Always funny to see just how much body roll the GTO has, especially around that sweeper. Thanks again Phil!
  13. Nothing feels worse than knowing you would have come in first in your class had you not hit that freakin cone 😔 Thanks for posting these!
  14. I have an 05 GTO, not exactly light, but I always welcome anyone that wants to ride along! Currently due to covid restrictions, AB and CD are split into separate morning/afternoon sessions. You will get a work assignment for the opposite run group you signed up to drive in, IE if you signed up to run for C, you will work D, and vice versa.
  15. Can't thank you enough! I'm an amateur car photographer myself and always take action shots of my friend's cars, but no ones ever taken any of my GTO. Now I finally have some pics with the new wing! Also, I'm from Spokane myself. Cool to see more mossbacks!
  16. Thanks for getting it all squared away Jason!
  17. Thank you for your hard work Lance, its much appreciated! 🙂 Way to put out the fire
  18. Oops... I was the one who chose course for group B... guess this is on me đŸ˜ļ
  19. Had a buddy sign up at the same time as me in B group and he was put on the wait list as well, but in the attendee list it doesn't show nearly 30~ people signed up for B. Is this a site error, or does it just delay in updating the attendee list?
  20. The three of us were real tight... its great to have some close competition! Felt like CAM-C was barren there for a bit. I'm excited to see how the rest of the season pans out, especially once I get my new control arms on 😉
  21. Lost by 2/10ths of a second ☚ī¸ Ouch! I like the new page as well!
  22. Unless the seating arrangement has been modified, I'm a little uncomfortable being observer and sitting close to anyone. When I work course, I can distance myself from the other course workers. It may seem silly to some, but I have to be extra careful with covid restrictions for personal health reasons.
  23. Just the one. Feel free to use both photos in any way you see fit 🙂
