Registration for the Feb-24 (yes, it’s a Saturday) autocross event at Musselman Honda Circuit is now open!!
    https://registration.azbrscca.org
It will close on THURSDAY, Feb-22 at 7PM so don’t miss it!

Because of the time limit (need to leave the venue by 2PM), we take A/B & C/D schedule (no grid/paddock moves between comp-run and time-only, just one switch of the grid between B & C.)

The site will open at 7:00AM and tech closes at 8:15AM.

We are looking for assistance in tech.
Those who are interested in, please contact us.

    Yushi,

Imagine our surprise today when we arrived at the gate at 7:15, and were told that you didn't open until 7:30. We talked our way in, promising to be good, and came back later for Tech which also was not there. So might I suggest that you all talk together first, and then decide on ONE PERSON to put this info out in the Forum. No big issue, and everyone is trying to help out, but this really needs to come from one source.

    Thanks.

  2. Not had this experience with my three Miatas, thank goodness, but if the rod bearings are that loose wouldn’t the oil pressure be significantly low?

How many miles? Any history of lots of racing or autocrosses? Heavy usage?

  3. Danielle, not aimed at anyone in particular. You and Lance did great to eventually be able to figure this out.

But, someone in management needed to realize that with our formal “scoreboard” down, that drivers would not have access to that critical information. So a “Plan B” needed to be implemented. DNF’s are very important information, especially all four.

    For a possible next time.

  4. Glenda and I have both been exposed to recent credit breaches, the latest through our Medical System. We have been provided with a free Equifax Credit Monitoring account for two years.

Today Glenda received a Text Alert, supposedly from Equifax,    (EQUIFAX ALERT!)     stating that her Credit Score had just dipped by 51 points!  It asked her to click on a link "for more info" to explore. She brought it to me to discuss. The link was.......... HTTP....noortimer.com/T42 (mis-typed on purpose). Be aware, this is indeed a well-known scam. Looked it up on the internet. BUT, since it said it was from Equifax, had her name and phone number, there was a strong inclination to trust it. These guys are very good.  But Glenda is highly trained to not click any random links.😉

So just sharing with our Community to prevent anyone here from making this BIG mistake. It was a close one, despite our "training".😎

  5. OK, SCCA rules do not specifically mention cracked windshields at all. So the default I think would be Federal or State Regulations......

The federal regulations from the U.S. Department of Transportation — no crack larger than 3/4 inch in diameter, no two cracks within three inches of each other, no intersecting cracks, or cracks directly in the driver's view — are the minimum standards.

Arizona law is exactly the same.

I suggest that you are fine.😎

  6. My two cents.....

While no doubt better for a few, there are more people who have to work Saturdays than Sundays. And, those who have to travel to Tucson find Saturday events more difficult. I like having Saturday to prepare the car and get it ready than late Friday night. Now toss in travel time.

Not a fan, here or in Phoenix. Unless a two day event, very few Clubs Nationally host Saturday events, especially Saturday only.

  7. Yes to no attendance restrictions, but you do know that nearby will be a golf course, condos, and luxurious hotel accommodations. So, pretty sure there will be at least the same noise restrictions. Maybe lower.

Also, when we used to run there (for many, many years) prices crept up and up, and then for a while we even had to have an ambulance onsite. Finally, their pricing went really nuts.

Definitely worth approaching the new management, and seeing what their thinking is. Would be wise to promote the driver training and safety aspect of what our sport offers to average drivers, and especially maybe a Teen Driving School.

    Fingers crossed.

  8. Very nice to have these future dates well in advance. My 2024 office calendar gets these first so we can plan our social activities properly.😉

Next up Tucson, and then Sierra Vista events.

I do wish we’d find some way…… people (likely need a second set of officials), and location that would allow us some perhaps early day abbreviated events for May, June, July, and August.

Our calendar is almost five months between events, unless you travel, and not everyone can.

Maybe not even every month, maybe even just a special event or two.

Those used to be among our most popular events.

  9. Wow, thanks. This is way earlier than past years. Used to be sometimes January before posted.

    Creating my spreadsheet now........👍

Everyone be aware that also in the past that often there were later revisions and "adjustments" after initial postings.:classic_blink:. Stay alert.
