  1. I'm sensing a future family rivalry shaping up between Micky and Cameron. Then we can watch the elders duke it out in the paddock too. 😂 Good times.........😎
  2. Reminder to all the Tucson will be running events all summer. Excellent way to keep your skills sharp. Sierra Vista may be having a few events also. Watch their websites for details.
  3. How did you contact these people? Never heard of this service. Likely this is a local business certified as an installer by Tire Rack. Tire Rack has no local outlets. Did they leave a card?
  4. You would know best how these mechanics best work. I thought my suggestion would be less work for you. You have been responsive when things get plugged up, but again, requires more work and time from you. Just thinking out loud.
  5. Regarding #7 about improving the waitlist, I recall sometimes when I try to register, and the Group I ask for is full, I go to the waitlist. In limbo. So I have to email Lance to get released from Waitlist Jail. I’m just stuck. And, becomes very awkward because I am confused about how to then register my wife, Glenda. What if we can’t later get the same Group, once I get unstuck? What I’d really like to have happen is get tossed back out with a message like “That Group is full, please select another”. Is that possible, please?
  6. Somewhat related here, but we are shopping insurance companies, and we have State Farm. We priced AAA and they were within a few bucks per month, but offered more coverage and extras. So next check was Liberty Mutual and we were shocked at their quote........ very close to TWICE what AAA and State Farm were. Maybe it's paying Aaron Rogers for all those commercials........ Just sayin'.................
  7. Even Brian Peters wasn’t built in a day.😉. He paid his dues over the years. Take your time and enjoy the experience. You’ll have a number of learning “AHA!” moments as you evolve. Those are fun.
  8. Mighty Muffler, Cave Creek area.
  9. I am so sorry this happened to you. Are you OK? Physically that is? Good luck with the repair.😢
  10. Listen to this wise man. He speaks wisdom.👍
  11. Badging said “Tesla”, but could not get the model detail. And what class would it be in? Saw this on the road locally, was not new. Why are these not out at our events? Anyone?
  12. This is a very complicated and even *personal* decision. Driving style and preferences too comes into play. Tire feedback is also important. Read as many articles as you can find on the 200TW tires. Pay the most attention to test cars used most similar to yours. Note that this is Arizona, and many months are not lacking a source of heat. Think of all the water you’ll save the planet by NOT having to water your tires between runs! 😂 I seem to recall you’re kind of new. This will not be your only set of tires. As you wear through your first set, try something different your second set. You’ll find what fits you.😎
  13. Some of us around here really like the Falken Azenis RT660’s….. Oops, not what you asked. Sorry.😉
  14. Since the question asked is generic, and no one answer will apply to all makes, I can share with certainty that many Hondas (Civics) REQUIRE TPMS to be operative in order to turn off any nannies. My experience was my 2012 Civic Si, but suspect that was much broader than that one generation. Start the car without TPMS engaged, and all nannies stay on. Others can share perhaps a broader range of knowledge regarding Honda years and Models affected.
  15. Signatures with real names required for all. Can’t get to know people if we don’t know who we’re talking to.
  16. Here is a perfect example of how close we all need to be to slalom cones. Stephen nailed each opportunity very well. Makes the slaloms straighter, i.e., faster. Well done.
  17. So then next event we’d do some heavy metal music to recognize the Cam-T guys and gals? With appropriate musical references on the course map, of course?😂😂😂 Next up, Country Music to recognize all of the “horsepower”- endowed SS cars…….. I like this trend……👍😎
  18. This makes more sense. SCCA in the past has been adamant that they did not create not maintain the Solo PAX Index.
  19. For many, many years I'd developed/evolved a Track "Notepad" where I keep all of the essential details about my current car(s) at each event. All the usual stuff like tire pressures, shock settings (if applicable), alignment settings, equipment details, number of runs on tires.........all of the usual stuff. Each run was logged too, with notes. It's about 6" x 11", (cut-up clipboard) with changeable event sheets, and space for my trusty calculator at one end. I have these going back about ten-fifteen years. Maybe more. But I also maintained a section for the latest PAX Factors where I could track my PAX Times in comparison to not just the top local drivers, but also my "Benchmark" drivers. The ones that I gauge my comparable gains or losses against by percentages. For many years I was known to locals as "Paxman". If someone wanted to know how they were doing on a given day, they'd ask me. Still have that license plate.........😎 These days I'm mostly tracking percentages of my raw times against my personal Benchmark drivers.
  20. Wow. I had already updated my little personal scoreboard........ Now I have to go look.
  21. This course design was the most fun I’ve had autocrossing in a long time. (Well, except for that finish……..🤣 ). Very much an autocross course, and not so “track-like”. Was never close to my 2nd gear rev limiter even once! Anyway, what really helped was having the different elements close enough together so that drivers could see what was next easily. No more abundant open spaces/gaps wondering where to go next. And the relationship between handling and bursts of speed were well balanced, so that the design did not favor one over the other. More please.👏🙏
