  1. You were drawn here by “static electricity”…..😂😂😂
  2. Sierra Vista collects your money on site. Checks are preferred, don’t think they can do cards. Note - Glad you’re joining us, would be great if you’d add a signature line so everyone would get to know you and your car.😉
  3. Loudes (whomever you are 😉) and Ken, we’ve done both before. At one time we offered a Series Entry Discount if paid up front, but did not guarantee run group preference. That went away as tracking complications emerged. People had calendar conflicts and had to cancel entries, wanted a refund, etc. Ken, done that too before. The Steering Committee met each year to set the rotational Groups for each session. In addition to just rotating Classes, how many cars were in each Class had to be balanced so that each run Group had a reasonable amount of entries. Sometimes they guessed wrong. And, some people have to run mornings, or afternoons, or they can’t attend. So they just didn’t/couldn’t come. So, in my opinion, what we have evolved into now is for our Region the best answer from all arrangements that came before. Once we return to people being able to attend with more relaxed number restrictions (like visitors), I think this new to us effect will diminish.
  4. Cleaning out some no longer needed good stuff. Most in very good condition, some not used very long. 5. If this trend continues, I’m sensing some Government regulations on the horizon…..😬🤔 Back in my youth, 0-60 in under TEN SECONDS was considered the golden "fast" standard. (But that was if your horse didn't throw off a shoe).😉😂😆
  6. Well then, all of our current cars would then be shuffled into the new level of "Heritage" car classing that I'm sure SCCA would be happy to create, but we all know that there just aren't enough classes yet.😂😂😂😂😂 (Yes, this was "tongue in cheek".) I'm waiting for the moment when people discover the looming issues for future automotive battery disposals. Rumored to be quite the new challenge.😉 These things might not be as "green" as assumed and projected.
  7. +1. “Expensive nightmare”……. Especially true for Street (Stock) Classes, not as much for the spec classes. Personally I see no way for Electric and Gasoline vehicles to fairly co-exist in a competitive environment. NHRA will soon be disallowing some of the faster Teslas due to excessive performance. Certain speeds being reached require a full roll cage and special drivers equipment. How’s 9.6 seconds and 149mph sound for a quarter mile?😳 From a street Tesla?😉
  8. Everyone, registration is open for this now HERE. Details for the event are available HERE If you intend to come, and are planning to come down the night before, know that Hotel rooms in the Tucson area near Musselman are very scarce. Be advised.
  9. And many of us have learned that when Registration opens that the screen must be refreshed to show that it has opened. It will not refresh on it's own. That cost me 30 seconds.........😥😉
  10. To add a Signature line (please everyone do this so we get to know you), click on your name in the upper right corner, account settings, and then to the left is "Signature". Add it there. First and last name, and any other details.....cars, classing, etc. Any questions? Thanks.
  11. Sorry, read too fast, thought it said “online”….. Darn.🥲
  12. Will it be pretty obvious where to go to do this? Like on our website, somehow in MSR, where will this be?
  13. SCCA has formed a new National Committee (nine members) to study how to best integrate electric cars and such into Solo Classing. That should prove interesting to see how that shakes out.🤔
  14. Well, they didn't win, that's for sure. And still listed in the 2021 rules. Damn rumors......😂
  15. I thought Teslas were removed from SS for being too fast. Some kind of revolt from Corvette and Porsche drivers?😳 Thus EV.
  16. Thank you all for the effort that is required to figure all of this stuff out.
  17. Thanks for the reminder, Kim. I had signed up for the Motorsports Reg alerts but have yet to receive anything from them. I have the events on my calendar, but not always when registration opens. I’m so old I can actually remember when you could enter or attend an autocross and not have four forms to fill out…..😉😉😉
  18. Well, I’d hate to be a Tesla owner about now.😉 I’m waiting for a Lucid…… Already the Tesla’s are considered too fast for Drag Racing as the speeds reached require a roll cage by their rules. Will be interesting to see how SCCA reacts to this new contender in the EV wars, as well as other electric cars in the future. I’m wondering how blending with NA cars in classing will evolve. 😮 Other thoughts?
  19. Without looking it up on the website, it’s typically for two Series, eight events, or until you win a trophy in Novice. Or…… anytime you want to. Novice is optional, you never have to run Novice Class. Does that help?
  20. Tucson has maps on site, but does not publish in advance.
  21. Kim Kemper is likely reading this, and I think if he’s not “the guy” who knows, he could find out. A few things changed with Covid regarding this option, but I’m sure they can figure this out for you. Hang tight, I suspect you're not alone on this. Kim should check in soon, or Lance maybe.
  22. From the membership form...... Also Membership Form
  23. Smooth, easy to see and follow, not too technical. Lots to like. This one’s a “keeper”.😎
  24. It is somewhat traditional in these Forums to post a tantalizing picture that shows a mysteriously vague feature of the new ride. Just sayin’……🤔
