  1. CAM-T is the perfect class for your T/A. There are usually 2 other T/A’s with us. One of the few rules in CAM is tires are limited to a 200 treadwear minimum which is most tires. Come out and have fun with us. Usually about 18 cars in CAM-T.
  2. Here is my best clean run at 49.131, running in group D definitely helped. We had a mostly dry track but the pavement was still cold. I did manage a faster 48.657 on my 4th run but hit the last cone on the right before the finish. The course layout flowed great yet still tempted you to carry too much speed. https://youtu.be/fMwUHMHs1fY
  3. Here is my fastest run. The video is a little shaky from a new mount I’m trying. This was a 45.805 which was good for a very close 2nd in CAM-T. I really enjoyed the course. It was open enough to tempt you into over driving but allowed speed when you put the car in the right spot.
  4. No worries Kim. Thanks for this. That will speed up the offload
  5. I am looking for 1 or 2 volunteers to help me move the old cones out of storage and unload a pallet of new cones into the storage container at AMP tomorrow oct 8th. I’m planning on being there about 10am and should not take too long. There is only 1 pallet with 400 shiny new cones to unload.
  6. my fastest clean run at 50.464. Was surprised to hear I was lifting the inside front tire through the finish. Would be awesome to have a picture of that if anyone has one.
  7. I’ll start things off with my video with data overlay of my fastest clean run. It was a 41.272. I think my falkens are starting to heat cycle out but I’ll still abuse them until the end of the season. Saturday was a great day on a fast track with close competition in CAM-T as usual.
  8. I thought about that also. There are a lot of light poles in those lots. Also it’s supposed to be torn down and a whole community built in its place in the next few years.
  9. It was a challenging day for me. I definitely need a faster ratio steering box for a slalom heavy track like this. Overall a very fun, flowing fast track.
  10. The track flowed very well and was easy to follow. I did not hear many DNF calls and when I did it was usually a bit too much speed to go on the correct side of a cone. Also there were very few cone hits in the morning. It was very fast, too bad I was having some high rpm engine problems, but I got them figured out just in time for the final run.
  11. Requested yesterday and got the confirmation email today. Super easy to do.
  12. Post up videos here. I’m including my video from September as well that I was able to do a split screen. The in car footage from yesterday got corrupted somehow so no split screen. The September video has both my fast run and also a run that Lance took in my car after he unfortunately broke.
  13. I can’t say from experience since I have yet to ride in an EV, not even on the street, or have not driven one. But what I can say is the acceleration from the instant torque is impressive. That’s something that even some of the best sports cars can’t achieve. As far as classing there may need to be a separate class for EV as they become more common. I wonder what an old American car with a Tesla or other electric swap could do against the normal cam cars?
  14. It flowed well and was very easy to follow. Like lance said us in the bigger more powerful cars didn’t have time to accelerate to limiter before having to get on the binders. The little cars definitely benefited from the sweepers to carry more speed. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next event.
  15. I was hoping to have a fresh set of seats and possibly harnesses to help hold me in. That didn’t happen but I did get a fresh set of tires. I might try to lower the front a bit more but may not get the time to do that and adjust the alignment. So I’ll be driving my Monte pit like I stole it as usual. It will also be nice having my crew chief (dad) out there again.
  16. A friend of mine wanted to go race at octane while in town. I saw an ad for dirtkart on Facebook and we decided to try it out. It’s in Tempe by marketplace. It was a blast and totally different than other carting places. They are brand new and only opened last week so there are a few bugs to work out. Thanks James for joining us. This could be a good venue for future end of season / trophy gatherings. here is a video I put together between me and my dad both running cameras. This is just the first race and I’ll post the second race in the next few days.
  17. Here is my fastest run at 45.420. I’m still working on getting the solostorm data overlay working. My tablet all of a sudden doesn’t like the gopro video format, even though it was fine last month. I’ll post the video with the overlay once I get it to work. It was a great season and can’t wait for the fall season to start. Still have the goodguys spring nationals this upcoming weekend to cap off the spring racing schedule.
  18. Here is my fastest raw time of 47.043 but I hit 1 cone. The opening slalom was proving to be difficult for me as I only had 1 clean run. Great driving Mike and congrats on the class win today.
  19. Have you looked at places like ridenow or other motorsports shops?
  20. here was my fastest run. Aside from the slide in the first right hander I probably could’ve carried more speed just about everywhere. One obvious thing I gathered from this video is I need a better seat. I spend a lot of my focus trying to stay in the seat.
  21. My best (hero run) run of 46.836 which surprised even me. I was finally able to get the overlay to export and upload. Doing this on a samsung device is much different than my ipad. Anyway sorry for the wind noise. So much for the wind cancelling of the hero 5.
  22. That’s a great write up lance. It was definitely informative looking at it. Maybe at goodguys we can do this during the day between runs even if we just set the tablets side by side. I can definitely see where I screwed up and just couldn’t link a good run. Also watching some of the fast guys thinking the run looked slow but was in the 37-38 range. Being smooth on the gas/brake as well as steering helps to not upset the car, which is easy for me to do. I need to get rid of the “gangster lean” on my car since as cool as it looks, it’s not helping me.
