  1. We sold out 140 entrants in less than 24 hours for this event and right now there are 12 on the waitlist to get in. I'm not sure I want to go to a local autocross that has over 140 entries in a single day. Logistics and the amount of available runs start to get pretty slim with over that many entrants in my opinion. One way to make sure you get entered is to volunteer ahead of time for specific essential race day work assignments such as waivers, tech, course setup, teardown etc as those will be preregistered before open registration begins.
  2. So even if your chosen work assignment is sold out by the time you save your registration, MSR saves your run group choice for you while your entry goes on the waitlist. The same happens when you go back to edit a registration. This is actually a good work around for this issue...register for your preferred run group and choose course as work assignment to get in your run group,, then go back in to edit registration and see if your preferred work assignment is available and choose it then.
  3. I'll ask MSR if there is a way to do that and if so, make it happen.
  4. Sounds like you made it work just as I described above.
  5. Use something other than a Mac? πŸ˜„ It takes a while to scroll as you are downloading thumbnails as you scroll. It's much faster on a PC than a phone it seems.
  6. Yes...keep scrolling... Thanks Phil, great shots!!
  7. How'd I get drug into this? πŸ˜„ That's alright though, there wasn't a class for us when I started racing, so we just built our own. I'm sure the EV owners will do the same.
  8. Just a note to explain how MSR’s waitlist system works and how it pertains to you when your registration has been waitlisted for any reason. First, let’s look at why your registration may be waitlisted. During registration, if you choose a run group that has already had the maximum number of drivers register for, your entry will go on the waitlist. If you choose a work assignment that has already had the maximum number of workers register for, your entry will also go on the waitlist. Once your registration goes on the waitlist, only an Organizer of the event can move your registration off of the waitlist. If you go back in and edit the registration, the changes will be saved, but you will remain on the waitlist until an Organizer moves it manually. You can completely cancel the registration and start over, but you will lose your place in line if you do. Entries on the waitlist are sorted by the initial registration date and time and are dealt with in order, first come first served. Typically what an Organizer will do is review each entry on the waitlist to determine why it was waitlisted, then contact the entrant via email to give options to move the entry off of the waitlist. These options typically are moving to a different run group or possibly just a change of work assignment. If an entry is placed on the waitlist just because of an oversold work assignment, MSR will save a place in the run group for that driver. An organizer can then adjust the work assignment to one that is available and enter the driver in the preferred run group. Work assignments with limits include Starter, Grid, Announcer and Observers, Course is unlimited. Other work assignments are those essential to make sure the event runs smooth such as Course Setup, Equipment Setup, Registration, Tech, Timing and Scoring, Solo Safety Stewards and Waivers. Drivers that volunteer to regularly work these essential types of work assignments are given the opportunity for pre-registration which can mean run group preference and avoiding the 8 pm Friday evening rush to get registered. If any driver is interested in volunteering to work these types of essential work assignments regularly, please get in touch with the Chiefs of said groups. Staffing the events ahead of registration opening makes the entire event run more smoothly which ultimately means more runs for everyone. If you have any questions, just ask away. Hopefully this helps to explain the process a bit better and avoid confusion.
  9. When we walked the course initially, my first thought was some sections would be super fast...when in fact (at least in the multiple high horsepower cars I drove) we never even got close to the rev limiters. I think what this showed is the lighter more nimble cars could carry more corner speed prior to the straights and therefore were faster in the straights, whereas the larger cars could not...therefore entered the straights slower and didn't get up to the higher speeds. I think this really helped to even the playing field for all and was one of the best parts about the course overall. That and the easy to follow, very little cone carnage\DNF issues encountered. More like this please Nick!! Awesome job.
  10. Great shots Phil! Thanks for coming out and sharing the pics you took. I'm sure the weather will be much nicer at our October event!!
  11. Phil will post here on the forum once he has them edited and ready.
  12. Yeah, I liked it as well. When the light nimble cars run pretty similar times as the heavy high horsepower cars, you know it's a well designed course.
  13. Apparently I should have replaced my tie rod ends before the series opener...
  14. The 52.728 under my name is Mat Leon's. I should only have 2 timed runs, both in the 54s... I broke on my 2nd run and took my third in Mats car not long after his 3rd run...then I didn't take any more.
  15. I'll be bringing a lot of summer dust on the car with me to the first fall event...unless I get time to wash it that is. Can't wait to see everyone again and also to get to drive in anger again...it's been a while
  16. Todd, it looks like you are confirmed for group D. Now just pay your registration fee and you're good to go. See ya there...
  17. Groups A and B are currently sold out, C and D still available. I believe you must first cancel waitlisted registration before registering again for a available group.
  18. Being a member also saves you $15/event and supports and helps the Region put these events on.
  19. We added a drop down option to the registration in MSR for the registering driver to invite 1-2 guests and they'll add the names of the guests in the Additional Comments box like you would a co-driver name. Once the # of invited guests reaches the cap per session, the option will not show as available any longer. Waivers will have a list of "invited guests" names next to the driver that invited them at the waiver station. It will be the driver's responsibility to get the Speedwaiver link to their guests for them to process the Speedwaiver and show to waivers at the gate.
  20. My pleasure Chris... Was pretty simple really once we got your car pushed up the ramps... πŸ˜€
