  1. I loved the course design this weekend, but I couldn't put anything decent together. The best I could muster was a dirty 48.3xx
  2. Ken thanks for posting this. I don't nearly have the years of experience that you have, but I have been autocrossing for over a decade with some national experience as well. This was one question that I've asked in the past and even trolled it on here from time to time, but I do believe that this region is more than capable to support such an event, even if it was something like a match tour that the SCCA did away with. I'm curious as to what the answer would be if someone actually asked the national office now as I'm sure it wouldn't just be a simple yes or no answer but yet something detailed with what would be needed on the regions end. I agree with the take on the current site inherited info in that every site has some kind of stipulation as to what they must meet and really it's all dependant on whether or not both parties can come to terms with regards to holding the event. I for one would be willing to help as I'm sure a few others would, in potentially landing a national event here. One things for sure, meeting minimum entrants wouldn't be a problem here.
  3. Dov good to see you are still around. Tires, there's quite a few choices these days. Pick your poison, Bridgestones RE71-RS, Yokohama A052, Falken RT-660, Nankang CR-1 (or CR-S I think is the latest rendition), or Kumho V730's, just to name a few. I believe Nexen also has a competitive tire out but don't know anyone local that has tried them yet. The Miata question I can't answer, but maybe Mr. King or one of the many resident Miata experts can chime in?
  4. Solo Storm or Track Addict/Race Render. Solo Storm, you have to pay for, but Race Render is free.
  5. Struggle bus for me today. Between hitting cones and fighting with traction/stability control magically turning back on midway during each run I managed to scrape a meh 41.4xx lol
  6. Already inquired and info posted elsewhere on this forum:
  7. AZBteam doing B team things lol. 3rd run was my fastest (45.3xx) as I got slightly overzealous for my 4th run, and my first two felt kind of meh due to some double inputs and impatience.
  8. I'm guessing for this "special event" weekend classing could be situated in the same manner as they are, Open, SPM, and Novice, then broken up within the four run groups, similar to years past when we didn't have run group preference i.e. Group A - SPM, CAM-C, STX, DS, SS, group B - STU, FS, AS, Novice etc..... Of course this would take a little bit more planning before hand, but it wouldn't be difficult, and it would also give local folks a baby taste of what the traveling folks experience outside of AZ.
  9. Sat on my 2nd run (43.9xx) and was the only good one as the other runs were complete garbage. Also representing the AZBteam...
  10. No. Those are just run groups. Pick one from A-D. E/F are fun runs/time only. Example: If you choose to run in group A/ (whatever you class your car in) Then you work in group C. Choose to run in B, then you will work in group D.
  11. 170 whp engine, so I'm assuming the car is swapped with some type of 4AGE motor, so the car wouldn't class in HS or even STS. More likely an FSP, SM or even DP car depending on the extent of mods

  13. Upping the boost doesn't matter as long it's from the result of the tune and not mechanical, i.e. no external wastegate, manual boost controller, etc. Tunes are very difficult to police so it's pretty much whatever, unless of course you are running a tune that isn't pump 91-93 ish, but e85 or similar. Then that would bump you out of Street touring entirely unless flex fuel was an OEM option out of the factory which I don't believe your BMW would fall under.

  15. Thanks Jason for getting the results up. We know you and Jay have been very busy touring the west coast's Pro Solo's and Champ tours.
  16. Another good option is the Kumhos V730 if they have your size. They are the cheapest out of all the current EP tires, and are almost as fast. From my experience they seem to wear better than the Falkens, and for sure much better than the A052.
  17. The registration crew can make the corrections once registration is closed and assignments/run groups are finalized.
  18. Great driving this weekend Morgan! A lot of hardware went home to the Phx/AZBR crew this weekend. Great driving by everyone that came out. I feel super fortunate to be a part of a region with such high caliber talent.
  19. 50.149 run. Its crazy that some of the course features allowed for 1.2+ g's
  20. Thanks for posting them up so quick!
