  1. Leslie, For our local PHX events, we do not require any numbers or class designations to be place on the cars. For national SCCA events, both a number and class are required. For those of us that run both locally and nationally, some just leave their numbers on for the local events even though they are not used. My recommendation would be to wait until you run a national event before ordering numbers.
  2. I really didn't notice any slowdowns or anything inefficient in how things ran on either day.
  3. Thanks for the follow up. It took like 2 minutes to do the annual SCCA waiver so it isn't a big deal to keep doing the speed waiver process.
  4. I just received my new SCCA membership card and it has the Annual Waiver Audit on it. Does that mean I can just show the card and NOT sign the paper form? Or do I still do the Speedwaiver link AND the paper signature at the site?
  5. I think you can get them from LGMotorsports as well
  6. Bridgestone 71RS as you will overheat and wear out the Yok A052s too quickly on that car.
  7. Ted did the front of my previous Vette and it turned out great. That was quite a while ago now, but I do see that he comes out to events ocassionally.
  8. Hopefully it stays as is. My just built car, which is also the fastest I have, has the easiest PAX of anything I own.
  9. With the Lift Shop no longer an option, who will mount used tires? I just bring loose wheels and tires and need them mounted and balanced.
  10. Just watched the video - it was really well done from all aspects!
  11. Depending on what run group you are in, I could ride with you and give you some pointers. I am quite familiar with S2000s. For the next event, I am running in B Group and working D Group.
  12. Everything Lance said, but especially this:
  13. No. As you mentioned the change doesn't take effect until Jan 2024 so its BS for now.
  14. If you are still on the factory tires you should be able to run it in SS under the NOC (Not Otherwise Classed) eligibility. I don't recall a FastTrack listing for this car, though I might have missed it, but I have a feeling its official class will be SS to start. SSR is most likely going away after 2023.

    Auto Accessories

Picked up a new Model 3 myself. I've been looking at Mountain Pass Performance and Unplugged Performance for aftermarket parts.
  16. I've been looking at the Primo trailers online as I want a lighter trailer than my all steel one. Let me know what you find, but for the price the Primo's appear good and I believe are made in downtown Phoenix right off of 7th street. I plan to check them out in the next couple of weeks.
  17. Video of my 2nd comp run. I forgot my bluetooth GPS so the numbers are from the phone and seem a bit slow.
  18. I don't know if there is much that is track worthy in that price range, but you may want to look for a car that is already built. Cooling mods - water and oil, and brake mods are really important out on the tracks. I can still only get one fast lap out of my Vette at this point and my S2000 overheats the rear brakes at some point in the day - it really is much harder on the car than autocross and not necessarily cheap to fix.
  19. I like staying at the Rio now. Good access to the freeway and the most reasonably priced place where it is somewhat safe.
  20. My Vette goes into limp mode if it doesn't see TPMS after some amount of time/miles. I didn't do the TPMS reset one time I headed out to AMP and ended up having to pull the steering sensor in grid so I could complete. Each car is different in how it is programmed to react in the absence of the signal.
  21. I still think Rick Ruth does PAX. Pro Solo has a separate index (PSI), which is like PAX, but maintained by SCCA just for Pro Solo.
  22. Kenny, The problem wasn't with the number of entrants, but we also had to consider friends and family for the attendees. With national events the number of non-entrants is much higher than local events.
  23. A few years ago I had an agreement from Howard to bring an event to AMP in October, but once we were unable to overcome the 200 person limit it was a no go. It is a restriction from the county, not from AMP itself. Hopefully it is has changed, but I would be surprised if it has.
  24. Agreed, but there would be some logistics around that we normally dont deal with like assigning Classes to run in the same group that will need to be figured out.
  25. I think the workers that were out in the sun enjoyed the format better for sure. After 4 TO runs I felt that was a good amount from a worker standpoint and after being in the heat all day was also enough driving.
