  1. I drove the STX BRZ this past weekend not the corvette as planned. So I should be in STX rather than CAM-S.
  2. I read further. We’d have to provide liability and workman’s comp insurance. That’s a big deal for us. we don’t get that from SCCA and it’s not like we ca n just go buy a policy. Sorry to get people’s hopes up. Certificate of Insurance (minimum of $1,000,000 of liability and workman’s comp naming the City of Glendale as additionally insured) must be filed with the GPD Off-Duty Employment Coordinator prior to commencement of any staffing under this agreement
  3. The city of Glendale charges $50 per hour for an officer if you go through them. So for one of our events it would cost about $500. That’s a significant fraction of what we pay for the amp location. But you’re right. If attendance grew to compensate we could cover it.
  4. Kenny, We’re definitely going to bring back the awards banquet. COVID stopped that one but we’ll discuss if we can make it happen this December or in the spring. I had one all planned for spring 2020 at a location nearby amp after the last event of the series.
  5. Dave, It's in our contract with AMP; it's their rule, which I guess could be pushed on them by the city. I'm not sure. If anyone knows a sworn officer who might want to make some extra money and help us out, please let the steering committee know!
  6. That is correct. If we go over the limit (I think 100 people at any one time) we need to hire a sworn officer to be a security person. It turns out that recently it has been difficult to find any officer to do this, and those we can find are very expensive.
  7. When I had a Honda I used D&W Auto repair. I was happy with them.
  8. I had to reschedule the purchase so it won’t make an appearance until next month.
  9. I should have a new toy to display at the event. Not ready to drive yet but it should be there.
  10. Just had Cruz mount my A052s earlier this year. They are a tire rack installer, so you can ship directly to them. They give us a deal on the mounting and balancing, so be sure to say you're with the SCCA club. It will end up being cheaper than the tire rack website says it will be.
  11. I think no. 14.8.2 says: 2. On arm-and-strut (MacPherson/Chapman) suspensions, the lower arms may be modified/replaced OR other methods of camber adjust- ment as allowed by Sections 14.8.B, C, or F may be used, but NOT both. So you can replace the lower arms, but cannot implement other methods of camber adjustment if you do so. If the camber bolt is there stock, it's OK. But if you're adding it, then it would violate 14.8.2.
  12. Yes it is, as long as that is the only means of added camber adjustment at the rear. Meaning you can't have both adjustable control arms AND adjustable offset control arm bushings. But either one on its own is fine.
  13. The CDC guideline say nothing about being able to not wear a mask at outdoor events once vaccinated. The guideline state: You should still take steps to protect yourself and others in many situations, like wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces. Take these precautions whenever you are: In public Gathering with unvaccinated people from more than one other household Visiting with an unvaccinated person who is at increased risk of severe illness or death from COVID-19 or who lives with a person at increased risk https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html
  14. You don’t like Perl? How about we use awk?
  15. In Tucson, I used Nu Wheel more than once and they were great. There are similar places in Phoenix, but I have no experience with them.
