  1. Website now reflects the correct times. Please double check the times. They are new summer start times for 2022.
  2. Used tires. Date code 1421 (April of last year). I bought these middle of last year and used them for the ProSolo finale, Solo nats, and a couple Marana events. 4/32nds remaining. When not mounted to the car for competition, they've been stored in immaculate conditions - sealed bags, indoors in a climate controlled room. Not used for daily driving. Nothing wrong with them, just wanted a full tread tire mounted for Fontana. They still make excellent grip, but I don't have any spare wheels and my tire storage is starting to overflow. My loss is your gain. $200 for the set. Please email me (remove the + signs): m+reys+ser+@+gmail.com.
  3. I've always used K&B Auto Glass, on recommendation from this forum many years ago. The Celica was cheap, like $110. The FRS was pricey, like $450. However, the windshield is part of the car's safety system - you want to make sure you have strong, OEM quality glass, and you want the installer to take their time and do the job right. K&B gets top marks on both of those, and to me that's more important than price. I've probably had 3-4 windshields done by them at this point.
  4. Please double check the pax factors! https://www.azbrscca.org/autocross/pax.html Unfortunately this is a 100% manual process. Human error almost guaranteed. I was able to register myself so hopefully it works for the rest of you. 🙂
  5. Oops. Pretty sure that's because the 2022 classes/pax factors weren't uploaded to the DB yet. I've closed registration for now while I work on the problem. Registration will now open Saturday 1/8 at 7pm. I apologize for the mistake.
  6. Hi everyone, our December 12th event is confirmed for Marana. Also, we've decided to bring back our end of year party, which we'll hold right after the event. I don't have final details on this, but it will probably be at Boston's. The club will pay for your food and any non-alcoholic drinks. See you all there!
  7. Hi Tom, I just went in and corrected the event date to November 20. 🙂
  8. I'm going to leave it as Monday. It's kind of a rug pull for anyone who saw it was delayed to Monday, and then takes the weekend off from the forums. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but as you can see confirming the dates is getting harder as construction ramps up. We have been super fortunate to put in most of a year at this site but we really can't promise anything more than the next event. I hope people don't miss out.
  9. I had previously delayed the open of registration; in order to avoid additional churn or rug pulls, I am not going to pull it back forward. Registration opens Monday November 8 at 7pm. Thanks for your patience, hope to see you all out there!
  10. I feel old. I remember when we crammed 240 entries through Skidpad 4.
  11. Sorry everyone. We're still trying to get the airport but we don't have confirmation yet. To buy more time, registration for the event will now open at 7pm on Monday November 8th.
  12. For a long time, our region has been blessed with a core group of dedicated volunteers. These are the people doing extra work - at events as well as outside them - to make sure this club runs like a well oiled machine. This is something you only tend to notice when these people are absent, and suddenly things aren't going so smoothly. I feel like this club has done pretty well at avoiding volunteer burnout. That said, the core staffing has dwindled down to a critical level. So we are asking for help. One area of particular need is setup help. There are maybe 2-3 people who know how to turn the equipment truck into a functioning Solo event; if ever they all can't make it, we're in for a rough day. We'd really like to train some people up to double or triple this number. This counts as a work assignment too, which is great if you ever need to cut out of an event early or just want to chill and watch cars. Currently teardown is not a work assignment, but if there are people interested in having that count for a work assignment then we can explore that. We also have open spots on the board - probably more than you can see. Some board members need a break; some want to keep helping but in a different capacity than they are now. Talk to us if you want to serve on the board. If there's a position or line of work that looks interesting to you, the person doing that now might actually be ok with you doing it! Board members typically spend a few hours each month doing stuff outside the event and are expected to help however is needed during the event, but otherwise this counts as all your work assignments, and there are additional benefits as well. Lastly, while I will never turn away free help, I want to especially encourage younger members to step up. Y'all are the future of the club and you bring fresh perspectives to the table. This is your chance to help shape the club into what it needs to be in order to keep thriving.
  13. Thanks to everyone who came out, and a special thanks to all the out of town folks who helped make this a success. Distance record goes to Jeff and Denise Cashmore, from Wisconsin! Results are now available for both days. Congrats to Tony Rivera for being the Most Awesome driver!
  14. The club got kicked out of there at the end of 2005. Probably not welcome back.
  15. Hi Todd, spectators are allowed. No weekend membership is required. All we ask is that you avoid crowded areas like grid, the timing table, the equipment truck, etc. due to covid concerns.
  16. I processed 14 refunds, the vast majority of which are due to bad UI/UX. I apologize. I don't do website or frontend work professionally, so some details I don't think through. What I should've done was put a warning under the payment button not to click it if you were only registered for one day, but wanted to register for the second one still. If you think you are still owed a refund, please send an email to payments [at] azbrscca.org and I'll take a look. Gotta say I'm very excited for this event. Many national champs from California coming out. Everybody bring your A-game. Still plenty of spots left too - come try your hand against the top guns of the West Coast!
  17. Spectators are allowed. Due to covid, please avoid crowding in the hot areas, the timing table, equipment truck, etc.
  18. I should update the website - "primary" and "alternate" have swapped, and honestly we will never use the old entrance again unless we are forced to by circumstances outside our control.
  19. Ok, the usual blurb is on the front page: https://azbrscca.org/ More details: https://www.azbrscca.org/autocross/awesome.html Registration opens this Thursday Oct 14th at 7pm. I will be out of town by then, if you have trouble registering or have questions, please be patient, you will not hear from me all weekend. Registration closes Thursday Oct 21 at 7pm. There is no onsite registration. There is no onsite payment. Reminder that there are two events. They are linked, but exist as totally separate entries in our database. If you want to run both events, you must register for each event individually. Please read this next part carefully as some payment details have changed. I have made some improvements but the process remains manual and error prone. If you are registering for only one of the Awesome events: Register as normal for the one event you will attend. When you get to the registration confirmation screen, please click the Add to Cart button and pay immediately. If you are doing both Awesome events: Register as normal for the first event. When you get to the registration confirmation screen, do not pay. Click on "Registration Home" in the upper left corner. Now click on the second event and register. When you get to the registration confirmation screen, the payment price will reflect the correct Two Days of Awesome discount and also correctly count whether you have selected 0, 1, or 2 Time Only slots for the whole weekend. Please click the Add to Cart button and pay immediately. Some additional payment info: There is no real integration between Paypal and our site. That means if you pay up correctly, then edit your registration, the payment confirmation screen will again ask you for payment. Please don't pay a second time. I can refund you, but the club has to eat the Paypal fees anyway. Please also double check the price at checkout! Sometimes people's mouse clicks register twice, and then you get two items in the cart and double the price. Before the event, someone will match up each payment with a driver. If we can't find a payment from you, we will ask you to pay before the event, and in the worst case we may cancel your entry (especially if there are people on the waitlist behind you). Some of you have been regularly abusing this and not paying. We know who you are. You are just creating more work for volunteers. It needs to stop, or we will start talking about cancelling registration of non-payers or outright event bans. Some of you use Paypal accounts from weird email addresses or business names that do not match any driver names. To fix this, I've added a text box above the Add to Cart button that is pre-populated with the driver name. Do not delete this. I'm serious. If everyone pays right when they register, we should have no problems and this job should be a lot easier for the volunteer. If you are paying for a codriver or something and can't figure this out, send an email to payments@azbrscca.org with the name on your Paypal account and who you paid for. If you know where our webpage is with ALL the Paypal links, please don't use it unless you REALLY know what you're doing. I've updated it, but it's error prone because you have to select the correct payment amount. Make sure you enter the driver name before clicking Add to Cart. If you make changes to your registration after you've paid, and the price changes, send a manual Paypal payment to payments@azbrscca.org. If you cancel your entry, we receive no notification of that. You should email payments@azbrscca.org and ask for a refund. Note this is subject to the refund policy. The short version is: cancel before registration closes, you get a full refund; cancel after registration closes, please explain to me the mitigating circumstances that caused you to cancel late and I can consider your refund request. Safety is strongly encouraged here. If you wake up and you're sick, don't come, you'll get a full refund; if you got zero hours of sleep due to insomnia and you're not sure you should be in a high performance driving situation, don't come, you'll get a refund.
  20. If you tried to register last night, you may have seen the old "No novices this event" verbiage. That is incorrect. There's no restriction on novices. I've fixed the website. I'm sorry about the confusion.
