  1. So... I ended up buying a second miata... I know... But it's getting a floor drop so that I can fit under the rollbar and be more comfortable driving longer distances... If anyone has any fun race parts that fit a miata let me know.
  2. That list picture is amazing... tires so sticky you can drive upside down.
  3. The tonneau cover no longer fits my car after I installed the roll bar. I'm willing to trade it for either 2 of pat's polish dogs or a 6 pack of beer of my choosing.
  4. I was thinking of getting another car just for track days. I love my Miata, but I can’t really crumple myself into it for more than an hour journey. So going to AMP and wild horse pass and Attesa is fine. But chuckwalla, musselman, indie etc are too far to drive a car my 6’3”body barely fits into. So if anyone has suggestions for a track car that’s ideally: 1) Under $10k and has relatively inexpensive expendable parts (brakes/tires etc). 2) Can fit my tall self, with a helmet semi-comfortably ( I don’t mind if some custom seat/seat rails are needed to make that happen). 3) has factory cruse control as an option. 4) Semi-reliable and relatively easy to work on when I do break something. 5) I don’t mind if it’s slow as long as it’s fun. I’m currently thinking about eg civics, early mini S’s, 350z, E36s, but I’m sure that list is too short. Suggestions are welcome.
  5. Is it possible to move me from STS SPM to STS open? I'm still trying to figure out this registration system and the consequences of the buttons I inadvertently push.
  6. Had a lot of fun today. This is my fastest competition fun 48.769 in an STS miata.
  7. Can somebody recommend a good alignment shop preferably in Tempe/Ahwatukee?
  8. Light weight 15x7.5 4x100 wheel tend to be fairly rare and often on backorder. For that reason in the past when I've sold them I've gotten pretty much the same price I they cost me new. Good win racing has a bunch of Konig 15x7.5 in the 140-160 range per wheel. Those are probably your best bet unless want something super fancy.
  9. Excellent, drain plug sounds like a lot less effort than what I had planned. Glad I asked.
  10. I stopped auto-crossing 3 years ago when my kid was born and the other bad thing happened. I'm hopeing to get my miata running again and start autocrossing soon (December might be optimistic but for sure by January). So two questions: 1) What tires are the fast street people using these days? 2) Anyone have an easy way to drain a miata fuel tank, I'm pretty sure the gas in it has gone bad by now.
