  1. Yeah, you bumped me to 4th, I was all stoked to be ahead of you for once through 5 runs, then here comes Lance to kick me in the nuts on his 6th run. πŸ€ͺ
  2. Ok, after I asked the question and thought abut it more I was thinking that it meant DNF, thanks for clearing that up Kim.
  3. Curious at the answer to #10 of the Pylon Quiz... Question 10. Hitting a cone at the finish line of a SCCA approved course will result in an automatic loss of time on that run. T/F Answer 10. False. Hitting a cone at the finish line of a SCCA approved course will not result in an automatic loss of time. However, the safety officer at any SCCA sanctioned event can apply this penalty if they feel the driver’s behavior is a danger to self, others, or the timing equipment. It was my understanding that all cones before and after the start and finish counted. Case in point, I accidentally hit 2 cones before the starting line for my second run in March, and I was charged those 2 cones (that run stunk anyway), should I have been charged those 2 cones?
  4. I have two sets of 3" mufflers for sale that I tried on my car over the last 2 months but they didn't work out for me, both have had hooks welded on them for hanging. I'm listing these for half what I paid but I'm totally negotiable just trying to recoup a little of my cost so feel free to offer what you're willing. Text me at 480-235-8385 Flowmaster 70 Series - $200 obo These were only on the car a couple weeks and have less than 100 miles on them. For a full description visit https://www.summitracing.com/parts/flo-53071 Dynomax Super Turbo Mufflers 17665 - $120 obo These were only on the car for an hour, weren't driven on at all. However, both have been clearanced in one spot. For a full description visit https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-17665
  5. Thank you @SSLance for hosting, PASR for the food, and everyone involved in teching and weighing today, it was a great gathering! I was surprised Sledge Hammer came in a couple hundred pounds lighter than I expected at 3361#. Anyone else wanna share their weigh in? See y'all for round 1 next week!
  6. @SSLance @Kim Kemper Do I need to swap the race tires on for tech, or is it ok to leave it on the street tires?
  7. I downloaded them, just want to give you credit. πŸ™‚
  8. Thanks DJ_AutoX if you send me social links or whatever I'll gladly share them.
  9. AWESOME, thanks Jason!!! Going to go hunt them down. :-)
  10. I was told my spin in Group C was impressive, did anyone happen to get any pics or video of it? This is the patina'd yellow 67 Chevelle with C24 numbered on the side in blue.
  11. Thanks Jason, you got a great pic of Sledge Hammer! I've been wanting an on track pic.
  12. My best lap was #2, although I caught that cone right at the start :-/
  13. In the rulebook 13.8-B, the last sentence states "However, no suspension part may be modified for the purpose of adjustment unless such modification is specifically authorized by the factory shop manual.". Now, back when I ran my Taurus in HS (and this was a long time ago) the line also said "even if the modification is specifically for crash damage." which it no longer says. So you might want to see if you can get a clarification on this line includes modification for crash damage, and check your factory shop manual for that possibility. In my instance the factory shop manual allowed the drilling out of the three spot welds that held in the factory caster/camber plate, move that plate, and then drill and rivet the plate in place.
  14. Jump on the waitlist, I had to waitlist twice in the Spring Season and got in both times.
  15. Not sure how this is related, the post was about a temporary shortage that turned out to be a mere blip.
  16. Had another great time Saturday. Unfortunately my Track Addict app didn't capture any data, and I was having a few issues so didn't have time to diagnose. πŸ˜• Was really looking forward to some G Force and Speed data. Oh well, got all summer to figure it out. πŸ€ͺ Here's my "Fast" lap, run 3 of Group D, Had my daughter in the car for the first time, poor thing, she's getting thrown around like a rag doll πŸ˜†. She loved it though. Seats and harnesses are on the menu this summer as we wait for September.
  17. Late notice, but i just heard on my HAM radio forum that there is an expected fuel shortage in AZ due to a refinery that services AZ going down. Just filled up all my running rides, better safe than sorry.
  18. Yeah, I almost set that up as well and decided not to (I never said I was smart πŸ€ͺ), it will be setup for the next time.
  19. That's exactly where I starved it, luckily all light bearing loading so didn't rattle anything. Too busy driving to notice the yellow light and then red light as the pressure plummetted below 20 psi. Had no way to read the datalog at the track so didn't see it until I looked at them at home.
  20. @aweZome28 Yeah, I'm running the '67 Chevelle. And no LS for me, it's an iron Mark IV Big Block 496, at least it's got aluminum heads ;-). I had been a little concerned since I knew my pan was unbaffled so I connected the oil pressure to my datalogs before the event so I could monitor it. I lined up the datalog with my video and it dropped around 2/3 of the way through the big sweeper, it came back just as I exited the 180 after the sweeper, luckily the whole time it was all light or no throttle. The 3 quart Canton with the electronic valve was what I was going to go with as well, going to control the valve with the EFI so I can modify the trigger point at will. It idles at 30 psi hot so figure I'll start triggering it at 25 psi.
  21. πŸ‘ That's definitely the best option. I would be going that way if I could afford it (or had time to install it).
  22. Are you running a baffled pan, or an accumulator? Something else?
  23. So i had a party foul this weekend and wanted to call it out and apologize to those involved, i intend to do better in the future. What happened? I noticed i was venting some axle lube, not a huge amount, but enough to notice. The grid spot i was on had already had a spot of oil dry on it, so when i was completed with my runs i followed suit and put a handful of oil dry on my spot and ground it in, but ended it there. A little while later i heard the following driver complaining and realized I'd messed up. Was too embarrassed to talk to them directly, but did my best to make it right by sweeping up their grid spot while they were on their first run. To that driver, i apologize, it won't happen again.
  24. More learning on day two!!! Including my Run 1 spinout, and my best of the day Run 4. Both slow. πŸ€ͺ Run 1, CROWD PLEASING with a spin right in front! Run 4, my fastest run.
  25. Was going over my data logs this evening and noticed that through the sweeper on this weekend's course I was seeing oil pressure as low as 5psi. 😯 Before I rod knock this thing I wanted to see if anyone else had some experience. Obviously Canton is the main player, but there are others, thinking for my situation that the electronically controlled valve is the best option, and rather than use their dedicated pressure switch to dump the charge that I'd have that controlled by the EFI so I can set it exactly where I want it. Are there any other options out there, besides swapping to a baffled race pan (which may be more expensive, less effective, and a lot more work).
