MostlySilverSupra Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Hello, I'm new to AutoX, just completed my second event this weekend a PIR with my 1987 3rd generation Toyota Supra. My first time I read through the rule book and thought that Street Class A fit my car best, as it is non-turbo, and has zero modifications other than a few interior trim panels removed; as well as the rear seat. However, I noticed that many of the cars in my class were dissimilar to me, so looked here and on the Classification Questionaire (https://www.scca-classifier.com/a/index.html) and it said that Street Class HS would fit better. Could anyone help me determine if this is the best fit for me? How does class affect scoring? Does class affect your PAX time? Thank you! Edited January 12 by MostlySilverSupra Thought of another question Quote
freakin_elrod Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Current SCCA rule book has the non turbo model classed in HS however that is stock trim with nothing removed. You start pulling stuff out and you begin to venture in Street Prepared/modified catagories Edited January 12 by freakin_elrod Quote
MostlySilverSupra Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 Thank you. Could you tell how class affects scoring or PAX times? Quote
freakin_elrod Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Depending on what you currently have the car classed as, HS is definitely a softer index. Quote
jw1 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 The lower the PAX number the better it is for you. You multiple your time by the PAX modifier to get your indexed time. The lower the time, the better. Quote
