SSLance
Couple guys are coming down from Vegas and are looking for a place close to AMP to stay in RV Sat night. Doesn't sound like they need hookups or anything, just some place kind of safe and close. Any suggestions?
Brandon Buff
Thank you Lance. We are looking into parking at Walmart or basspro as they allow parking overnight for RVs. We have a super C and a stacker trailer and will not need any hookups (power/water/sewer). Just looking for a spot somewhat close to minimize the commute for Sat and Sun. Looking forward to checking the AZ chapter out. Brandon
Nokones
Cracker Barrel on the east side of Litchfield Rd. just north of the Interstate 10 Freeway, a hop skip and a jump from AMP.
jwharnish
When I came down for the last event, I brought the RV and stayed at Skyline Regional Park in Buckeye. It was $20 a night, had good hiking, fire pit, and plenty of room for a 40' Dry camping. It was about 10 minutes from AMP. I'd do it again. There is also a RV park at Lukeville base called Saguaro Skies famcamp. That was $30 per night. No experience with that one, but next door to AMP. Of course a Walmart off 303 north of AMP. Sam's also off 303 north of AMP. Edited March 7, 2021 by jwharnish
