gpjlytham Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 Hi All. Does the club benefit from tires being purchased on tirerack.com? Assuming that there is a benefit to the club, how does it work? What do i need to do? Thanks Gareth. Quote
smeyers Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 Pretty much works exactly like Rakuten. Click our Forum link to Tire Rack, and that enables inside their system an automatic “percentage back” to our Club. if you don’t know what Rakuten is, ask your wife. If not married, then you’re not experienced enough yet for “that talk”. It’s hidden deeply inside the marriage vow fine print. You’ll never find it.😅 Quote
gpjlytham Posted June 29, 2024 Author Posted June 29, 2024 I don't see a link on the Tucson website or the Tucson forum for tirerack.com. I do see a link on the Phoenix website but it says it benefits the Phoenix club and as I have been racing in Tucson I would like any benefits to go to the Tucson club. Quote
smeyers Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 Oh, sorry, did not notice this was the Tucson Forum. Only Phoenix does this. So, do that and help Phoenix, or click Rakuten and help yourself. Tire Rack is having a Fourth of July sale! 😎 Quote
gpjlytham Posted June 29, 2024 Author Posted June 29, 2024 Thanks Scott. I clicked on the link from the Phoenix website and ordered the tires so hopefully they will receive some payment. Quote
smeyers Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 It will. Automatic, you get no notice. So then, this tells me then that you’re single? Right?😉 Quote
gpjlytham Posted June 29, 2024 Author Posted June 29, 2024 Married 35 years (you get less for murder), 3 kids Quote
smeyers Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 Ah, I was under the impression that Rakuten was required in lasting marriages. My apologies. Every time I buy anything of ”$ubstance”, Glenda says afterward (when it’s too late) “Did you use Rakuten”? Then she tells me how much she got last month from them. So, glad you “scored”. BTW, you cannot use both services on the same purchase, if that ever comes up.😉 Quote
gpjlytham Posted July 1, 2024 Author Posted July 1, 2024 i haven't heard of Rakuten, a quick web search shows it's money back on purchases. I assume they sell your data and that's how they can send you cash back? or? Quote
