Here is my lap with a spin on the corner near the timing tent - cause I wanted to entertain them. Yeah, that's it.

Big thanks to the folks who worked hard behind the scenes to make this happen!! That was super, super fun. I hope we can do it again.

As a "less experienced" driver, I totally agree with David and Nokones. I rather enjoyed figuring out which way worked best when we had an optional slalom before. All part of the learning process.

I expect a whole lot of folks are now thinking how they can get into an "office" like that.
Next time it might be fun to record stats from the weighing. Maybe even had awards for heaviest, lightest, most perfectly balanced, weirdest balanced.

What I'll do is complete the speedwaiver, but flash my annual at the gate. It's faster than digging for a screenshot.
As one of the folks who has, and will, be working waiver I'll say that most folks have their Speedwaiver ready to go and it really doesn't slow things down.
At this point I have never seen an annual waiver and instructions from Faith are "no Speedwaiver, no entry". Perhaps we'll get new instructions for the next event.

For those who have never done this format can someone explain how it would work?
Is the day still split into 4 sessions where you run/work alternates?
Is this format able to handle the same amount of drivers? Seems like there might not be enough room for all those cars.

We expect 4 runs per run group typically, including for time onlys. If we're running slow, we'd reduce the TOs to 3 before we reduced the competition runs. So if you actually stay the whole day and do time onlys you will get 7-8 runs. If you only stay for half the day you'd get 4.
Why the change? Seems like the current system was working pretty well.

We usually get an additional wrist band at Tech. If I already have done annual tech do I just not need to worry about that additional wrist band?

i like that suggestion. Way less $$ than a GoPro and gives additional data.
Thank you!

Any recommendations on cameras for recording runs? Seems like a good way to help figure out where I can improve.

Where does one find the Annual Tech forms?
Never mind. Found it.

I'm a newbie this year, but this was my favorite course so far. Had great flow and I had no problems figuring out where to go. Had and awesome time doing 6 runs on this. Many thanks to the course designer.

Once we return to people being able to attend with more relaxed number restrictions (like visitors), I think this new to us effect will diminish.
I'm a newb, so excuse me if this is a dumb question. Does your comment mean that the number of drivers would increase? October was my first event and it seemed like it was pretty full already. Would be tough to get a decent amount of laps with more drivers.
Is the number of folks wanting to participate this year typical or have numbers bumped up?

Limited capacity + high demand = events filling up VERY quickly.
