  1. You won't want to delay too long since Koni is having their annual 20% off sale thru the end of June.

I recommend checking with our local autocrossers and suspension experts Jeff and Nicole Wong, owners of PropartsUSA.com.  A quick check of their website and Koni Sports for your car are priced similar to tirerack.  Plus you would be supporting an AZ small business.

As for the front end shaking on a car of that vintage, I would suspect the lower control arm bushings are way past their expiration date.  If the bushings (or entire control arms) have not been replaced, I would get that done regardless.  I have done this on a few old cars recently and it makes a HUGE improvement on ride, handling and NVH.

  2. Lance,

Others folks on here have had good things to say about Earnhardt Chandler (>Freeway Chandler).

Recent experience with minor Camaro warranty work at Courtesy on Camelback was meh.

I need to find a place that won't jack up the dash doing the Takata recall on the old Silverado.

  3. Thanks to all for the constructive discussion.  Agree with intentional baby steps back to normal, with the possibility to end up with improvements.  We are lucky that our hobby is an outdoor activity which is inherently less risky than other activities.

  4. 2003 350Z

Track Edition w/ Brembos, lightweight Rays wheels, extra lateral support in driver seat, and VLSD.

Has most (if not all) of the factory options and is very comfortable and fun on the street.  I have enjoyed driving this car to work a day or two per week.  It is in extremely good condition with respect to maintenance and appearance and will require little to no immediate attention by the next owner.  I had the car fully repainted in 2013 and it's rarely been exposed to the sun outside of autox events.

I have autocrossed this car for 9 years, with 5 of those years in the current STU trim:

    • Koni 3011 double adjustable, shortened/threaded shocks custom built by ProParts USA (now local).
    • ProParts USA custom pillowball mounts with spherical bearings
    • Hyperco 1100# F / 800# R 6" x 2.5" springs w/ helpers on rear
    • Hotchkis FSB (newer version)
    • Whiteline poly bushings throughout
    • Kinetix upper front control arms - modified for more camber (-2.6 F, -2 R)
    • 18x10 +21  XXR 552 wheels wrapped in 275/35/18 RE71R with about 40 runs (good tread left)
    • Hawk HPS pads and slotted front rotors
    • Pop Charger with Nismo intake tube
    • Nismo S-tune cat back exhaust
    • Dyno-tuned for +13HP, 17TQ with UpRev Osiris Tuner

For more details, it is posted on OfferUp (more willing to work out a deal with a fellow autox'r) or PM me if you are interested.

  5. I know it's not an autocross car, but after 15 years, the time has come to find a new home for our extremely clean E46 with low miles.

The current plan is to post on an auction site, but we are checking with friends, family, local car enthusiasts first.

Due to the auction potential, I need to keep the public details limited, but if you or someone you know is even remotely interested, just PM me for details/contact info.

Based on current market trends, this should go north of 20k, but for the right buyer we would be willing to sacrifice getting top dollar.
