The wheels in the competition photos look like different ones than the stock TRD ones; are those Rota Strikes? I've actually been looking for a set of SSC-spec 17x8 with 40 offset. If you still have those separately from the car, how much would those be?

My SSC wheels are Konigs, and they are right at the min weight for the rules.  If I don't sell them with the car, I'll let you know!

  2. I love this car, but only have so much room in the garage, and am considering selling and would much rather sell to a fellow autocrosser who would let me co-drive the rest of the season.

This is a Release Series 2.0, which includes all available options plus exclusive "lunar storm" paint, wider forged black chrome TRD wheels, small front and rear aero, and a much nicer looking two tone interior that makes the car look way more expensive lol.

32,000 miles. Excellent condition with a brand new battery and clear bra.  Includes the installed SSC parts with newish tires and all of the stock suspension, exhaust, and wheels with low miles tires.

***rebuilt title*** due to a minor front end collision that ended up costing a fortune because of the very expensive and hard to find front splitter and headlights that the Release Series has along with a new clear bra.  I kept the car and paid out of pocket for the repairs because I just like it too much.

    $22,000 obo

  3. I had a similar story with my 86.  The adjuster saw engine parts on the estimate and immediately totaled it, but it was just a few plastic bits on the front of the engine.  So I kept it and pocketed all the difference.  I did all OEM parts, but since you are paying, you can swap to aftermarket for things like headlights and save a bunch more.

  4. Do you basically have to drive out on thursday and be ready to go on friday? That could be difficult for me.  Are we done on sunday in time to get home that night?

Regarding flying home, if you can get a cheap flight and cheap parking, go for it.   Personally, I found Vegas to be an easy drive and not worth the expense of flying and I’m not sure how much time you’d save when you add in travel to and from the airport plus leaving time to check in.

Once you consider that the full cost of driving is about $1 per mile, flying is usually the answer.  But to each their own. Its a nice drive if you have the time.

  5. Got some tires you want to get rid of? Throw them our way and we will burn them up!  We have two SVT Focuses going to Buttonwillow at the end of Sept.

We don't need the latest greatest autox hotness, any 200+ treadwear in decent condition will do.

    205-245 by 40-45 R17 will fit.

    Thanks!

  6. The AM/PM schedule makes it much more likely that I can make an event, so I love it.  The restricted entries and lack of same day sign up are killing new membership, so its not sustainable.

IMHO the inefficiency comes with having to completely separate the two groups, and when those restrictions end, the PMs can register/setup/tech during the B run group, take a quick break for meeting and course walk, and then start.  The AMs can pack up and leave while C is running.

I would also be very happy with 5+ runs and higher entry fees.
