Well that was a day... Interesting course, fast and fun but very difficult sight lines in some spots. Here is my 46.223 run.
After looking at Mike's Mat's and my Solostorm logs we've discovered I'm bad fast turning left and they are both bad fast turning right... We all probably had 44s available if we would have just driven correctly... Oh well, we'll get better next time. Congrats to Mike on the CAM T win. Nice driving...

Speed waiver is not working for me. It never sends the link to my cell phone.
First off, what is your name? Maybe try logging in to motorsportsreg on your phone first before clicking the speedwaiver link.
-
There are still a LOT of unsigned Speedwaivers for this event. Everyone please click this link and process your speedwaivers now...
https://azsolo.speedwaiver.com/bqtyw
Also, please click this link, print out 1 or 2 copies of the AMP Waiver, sign and bring those with you Sat and\or Sun (you'll need one for each day).

So if we print the tech form, fill it out and bring it with and already have a sound sticker are we good for the afternoon groups? I think so but I don't want to be wrong.
You are registered for Group C on Sunday. Bring the annual tech form to tech after you register on site and we'll get you all set up.

Although the maps are very close to scale, the actual set-up crew always makes final “tweeks” to account for visibility concerns, safety concerns, etc. so, suggest you make up your mind when you walk the course......😉👍😎
OR after you try one way and it feels awkward...and you think the other way will be faster.

So I'm guessing you are able to slalom either side of the cones through the center section?
Yup, looks that way. Great...more choices to have to make on course... :D

Cool. Thought so. I'm a drag racer as well so if it even sprinkles it's canceled.
Racing in the rain is a blast! Working course in the rain, not so much...
Of course, I'm used to a bit more rain where I came from than the "sprinkles" that we get here in sunny Arizona...

Since, the Saturday Test & Tune event will be an all day event, if I am not able to be on-site in the morning, will I be able to arrive around noon and get my car teched and registered for the afternoon session? I would appreciate an official answer to my question. Thanks
Did you not fill out an annual tech form yet? If so, you are good to self tech.
I know Chris and I plan to be there Saturday morning to tech cars, but not sure on how long either or both of us plan to stay since we are not running.
I'm also not sure how long Josh will be there to enter you into registration...I'll try to reach out to him to confirm.

Couple guys are coming down from Vegas and are looking for a place close to AMP to stay in RV Sat night. Doesn't sound like they need hookups or anything, just some place kind of safe and close.
Any suggestions?

Looks great! Thanks for all the hard work on it...

As of this morning, all competition groups are full and sold out. New entries will go on a waitlist in the order they are received.
All Test and tune groups are also sold out and there are 10 extra entries that are on the list, but will not be confirmed until enough of the first 60 entries by date registered cancel. If you are one of those last 10 test and tune entries, you should have received an email from registration explaining that even though MSR shows you are confirmed for test and tune on Sat, you don't have a spot until registration tells you so.
If any questions, just ask. Sorry about the confusion but we've learned from this exercise that MSR does not have a way to separate portions of an entry that is sold out from those that are not. We will correct this in the future.

I see 6 people on the waitlist right now, all have test and tune and competition groups listed. There are still competition group spots available for Sunday in all groups. To be sure you get in before those spots fill up, I'll change your registration to Competition Group Sunday only and confirmed those, Saturday's Test and Tune entries will be waitlisted though...
-
Yes, you are on waitlist for both Sat and Sun.
There are still spots open for Sunday only, but Sat is sold out currently. I'm trying to figure out a way to confirm someone for Sun and put on waitlist for Sat now...

Registration for the AZ Solo Autocross Spring 2021 Series Event 3 March 13-14, 2021 opens at 8 pm this Friday evening.
This will be a bit different than our normal events in that it is a 2 day event. You can register for one day or both, it's not required to do both.
The first day, March 13th, will be a test and tune event. We're capping this at 60 entries total, 2 run groups of 30 cars. You'll get a chance to drive in the morning and in the afternoon. The cost will be $55, which includes lunch. Lunch is a hot dog, chips, and a drink. Expect lots of run!
The second day, March 14th, will be the 3rd event of our Spring series.
For registration, there is only a single event in Motorsportsreg for both days, and there will be options for each day. Select the days you'd like to attend, and that's all there is to it! If you need a weekend membership, you'll only have to pay for that once for the entire weekend. Please bring a signed copy of the AMP waiver linked below for each day.
As similar to our last several events, the same covid restrictions will be in place.
- Masks will be required, except while driving. If you don't bring a mask, you won't be able to participate.
- Only pre-registered drivers will be allowed on site. This means no spectators or guests!
- There will be no onsite registration for this event.
- A and B groups will run in the morning, C and D will run in the afternoon. If you are in C or D group, you can not show up on site till noon. You will be turned away if you show up before then. Gate open at 630 am for morning run groups.
- We will not be providing loaner helmets, you must bring your own Snell approved helmet with a 2005 or newer rating.
- Water will not be provided on site, so please plan accordingly to bring your own.
- There will be no food vendors on site, so please plan accordingly
- Special processes will be in place for waiver. Check your Motorsportsreg event receipt for additional instructions.
- If your car does not have a sound sticker already, you MUST register in either A or B group, there will be no sound tests in the afternoon.
- Instructors will not be available at this event.
Hope to see everyone there!

PS: Please consider downloading, filling out and bringing your Annual Tech Form below with you to the event if you are a SCCA member. Having your annual tech card significantly speeds up the pre-race procedures for everyone and can lead to more runs for everyone...and that's what we all want right, more runs?

Great run Brian... Watching your runs just clarifies that I'm SO late in my slalom turns... I have to clean that up if I want to go faster.

I know I always say I love the course design, but this time I REALLY loved the course design. Great job creating a really well flowing course Nick. The huge showcase sweeper was a ton o fun once I realized just how much grip there was all the way around.
Still working my way through some suspension and tire tuning issues and getting used to some changes made, but it's getting better, much better.
Hope to see other videos posted to see where I left time on the table, I'm sure there are places, but I'm pretty happy with this 48.060.

I assume there were no vacancies left available. Unfortunately I tried to sign up late and I'm on standby. Just wanted to be sure. Let me know. Thanks!
Sorry, you are 11th on waitlist out of 15 total. Not looking good...

Little heads up for those of you on the waitlist, keep an eye on your email you use for MSR as that's how I'll be contacting you to see if you want to take an open spot.

Just a reminder for those folks registered, be sure to sign the Speedwaiver, print out and sign the AMP waiver, and print, fill out and sign the Annual tech form if you haven't done so already.

Apparently any of us are able to create calendar events. I've updated original post.

While the car shows some solid potential for future pace, it appears the videos will forever disappoint, lol. Fun course, thanks to all the volunteers that helped make today happen.
My goodness that car accelerates quickly!! Nice driving as usual. Cirious your thoughts on the 660s?

Nice run, bummer about the cones at the finish. Interesting that you went left first on optional slalom. Did you try both ways?
I lost a half second on entry to showcase sweeper when I went left first and didn't gain anything on entry, but I was also struggling to turn right all day so was tip toeing on entry to optional slalom instead of picking up time there.
