Hmmm. Not a boating club. Well, we’re at an airport, so how about this?😉😉😉

The pilots would probably have to be IFR certified due to minimal visibility and the planes would need to be IFR equipped and also certified.

  2. I inadvertently, registered for the Sierra Vista event and their registration closed prior to me realizing that I made a mistake, and I could not cancel the entry.  I did send them a separate request to cancel but, I may have been charged via PayPal for their entry fee.  When I tried to complete my registration for the AZ Border event for July 25, the Paypal was trying to charge me with a default of "Two" in my Shopping Cart.  I did change the number of items in my cart from two to one however, I am not sure who gets my money now.

Additionally, I received two email receipts from Paypal.  It appears that the payment did go to AZ Border Region SCCA and not Sierra Vista however, I may have been charged twice.  The transaction ID numbers are:  5FJ91779VL426561N and 398854753L8006729.

Will I be charged twice for this event?

Please let me know and please help, because I need it.

    Thanks

  3. Corner weighing takes time, depending if the car has been corner weighed before. If it is the first time, it may take a couple to a few hours to perform an accurate balance. Also, each scale pad, has to be laser/bubble level with each other or you're wasting your time.  And, if you are weighing a car with a stock suspension and with soft rubber bushings, you are essentially wasting your time because the balance will not hold when the suspension loaded up in a corner.

Using the club scales at an event, on an unlevel surface, will only be good for a total vehicle weight.  You need an adjustable platform like this with laser equipment to achieve a perfect level surface.

MSR shows lots of options for the summer. Be sure to reset your distance filter to see them all. NM apparently isn’t using MSR, or hasn’t posted their dates yet.

For those not able to do the more distant one or two day events, join us poorer people at the Tucson/Sierra Vista events more locally. Musselman this coming Sunday near Tucson being sponsored by SV. Marana Airport the following Sunday.😎

    Hi Scott:

The event they (SCCA Rio Grande Region) had this past weekend was posted on MSR.

Rio Grande Region SCCA – Official Site for the Rio Grande Region SCCA (rgrscca.com)

Farmington NM (giant McGee complex parking lot) has been back up and running this year and next event after this Sat-Sun(July 10-11) is July31 and August 1.

They are all 2 day events and the 5000 ft+ altitude plus river and canals running through town make it cool there,

usually a few degrees one way or the other from SVista and perhaps 15 degrees cooler than Phoenix or Tucson.

Figure on 10-12 runs per day. 2 run groups each day and over early. RVs ok overnight on race site. Usually a clump of them.

When will the MSR be posted in order to register?

  6. I hate to do this you again but, I changed back to my 89 Corvette in SSM open. Sorry for the extra work.  The critical brake part for my 89 came in today and I found a nail in one of my rear Hoosier tires on the Grand Sport.  I now have brakes on my 89, not like that I EVER brake.

  7. I attempted to change my entry from running my 89 Corvette in SSM to my 13 Corvette Grand Sport in SSR and I clicked on the register button and it said thank you for registering but, it took me to the PayPal checkout which I clicked out of. Can you please check my entry make sure that I didn't mess it up. I did the PayPal when I originally registered my 89 SSM Corvette. I didn't want to pay twice

  8. The American Autocross Series provides shade canopies and ice chests full of ice and water at each work station during the summer months. AAS also experiences 105-110 degree weather during July and August with some humidity that is higher than hear. The events are well attended during those months.
