  1. šŸ‘ Thank you. All good here.
  2. Fine on my iPhone too, and iPad, but not on the computer. Thatā€™s where I use it most oftenā€¦.bigger screen.
  3. Hey, anything we can do about this? Happens to me on both Safari and Firefox........can't find a way to resize that window.
  4. No pre-posting. So, when you arrive. Pre-posting is a Phoenix thing. Most of the time, unless you registered very late, you get what you requested.
  5. Take note - if you do, get one new enough to have decent ABSā€¦ā€¦.šŸ¤Ø
  6. I'm not a Tech guy, or even an Officer, but I do know that this exclusion is from SCCA National and is in the 2021 SCCA Solo Rulebook. So, your challenge is to contact SCCA National through their Website and have that discussion with them. Also, if you are not a full SCCA dues-paying member, not a chance. The first question usually asked is "What is your membership #"? Local Regions are not allowed to alter SCCA National Rules, especially regarding safety. Think liability. Good luck.
  7. No. That pattern was Phoenix. They are currently redoing their Run/Work for the return to Marana. Website will be corrected soon **I deleted the original posting here to avoid any confusion......
  8. Well, AMP obviously cant do evening events with all of their restrictions. So another venue would need to be found. And the setup crew for evening events always experienced working in the hottest time of the day. So in my mind the early morning approach always made the most sense. Everyone involved were exposed to the most tolerable conditions. Anything is better thanā€¦ā€¦nothing.
  9. Yes, almost five months between events is a problem. Parking lot rogue friskiness in your car or similar would invite negative attention in many ways. Not recommended. Ken shared some alternative suggestions above, much better solution. Finally, the best solution, would be to do as Tucson and Sierra Vista (limited due to fire crews on site) do is hold abbreviated summer events here that start early and end early to beat the end of the day ā€œbrutalā€ heat. Courses a little shorter and simpler to streamline setup. We (AZ Region) successfully held a four event series every summer *for over thirty years*. Sometimes evening events under lights at Firebird Skidpad #4 that drew over 150 entrants, as well as early morning to 1:00ā€™ish events that also were well attended. All we need is a committed summer crew that wants to bring that back and make it happen. I suspect there is still the interest. Do I see your hand raised?šŸ˜‰
  10. Keeping us in the loop and letting us all know whatā€™s happening is very much appreciated. Thanks for all that you do.šŸ‘
  11. Well, the Solo Rulebook is free, online.......Click Here Your car will be inspected for safety purposes at each event by our Tech Crew. In order to run, it would need to pass. As far as what Class to declare, start reading about classing rules and lists in that rulebook. When properly confused, check back with us here for clarification. Youā€™ll see what I mean later. Thereā€™s a lot to learn here. I saw no mention of a Novice ā€œpageā€? Not sure there is one here, but Iā€™ve been wrong before. Best cure for ā€œNovice-nessā€ is to start attending events, get to know other drivers, and ask lots of questions. There is a lot of good, free advice available at events. Hope this helped some.
  12. Anyone able to post a map or two? Please? And/or, a few videos would be nice too.šŸ‘ŒšŸ‘ Thanks.
  13. Hey everyone, the two day SCCA Tour Event in Fontana CA. is now complete. Attached are the results. A number of local SCCA members/drivers attended and competed. I thought you might find these results interesting. Some use these top local drivers as "Benchmarks" to compare themselves to, to help gauge their progress with their own cars. I do. Choose a few local consistent drivers and keep a percentage record of how you do against them. You could than also apply your percentage towards these results to see how you might place should you chose to enter any of the National Events. Any full SCCA Member can enter any of these events. Give it some thought. A good way to grow and learn, as well as meeting some very nice fellow drivers/members from other locals. So, take a look for the Arizona drivers, and check out how they did. Also peek at YOUR class and see how those times stack up. It is interesting. Attached also is the overall event PAX Scores. Enjoy. 2021 Fontana Overall Results.pdf 2021 Fontana Overall Index.pdf
  14. All registered and ready for this event. Registration opened tonight at 7:00pm. 50 Driver Limit.
  15. Really appreciate your (all of you) extra time and effort to fill in the gaps, until we can put Humpty-Dumpty back together again. Makes a big difference, trust me.
  16. This is great, thank you. Correct to assume, Kim, that some missing times/runs will be included in the real results when Jason returns? For instance, my fifth run is not listed here, assuming others are missing as well. The system went down as we were taking our fifth runs at the event, so they should be on paper.
  17. Stepping back and reviewing the needs versus whatā€™s in place to address those needs, allow me to suggest the following. Live Timing is a far better solution to the need than the old Scoreboard, or even the post-its. Having that second display near the finish is excellent, as far as knowing raw times.....but it doesnā€™t show DNFā€™s or cones. Back to Live Timing. Electronic equipment will occasionally have glitches, but in this (or most cases) the real issue is that we need to clone Jason Bucky. We need to have a backup person(s) who can do everything he does. Under our previous Club Operations there was always an assistant Chief who took over when the main guy or gal was absent. We now have a number of people attending who are newer to our sport. Many of them are professionals with skills in many areas, Iā€™d bet some in the field of technology. We need to be more pro-active in getting to know everyone and getting them interested in Club Operations. We have backup timing lights. if electronic scoring goes down, we should have a backup there too. In a pinch the scoreboard would serve well. There is no reason it physically has to be right next to the Timing Table. It could be appropriately remote, and cordoned off for sanity and safety. This is important. No one should take a next run not knowing if earlier runs were valid or not. We can do this, we just need an action plan.šŸ˜Ž Over and out.
  18. Sharon, in those days there were no computers, not even calculators! Results were hand-logged, and then results were typed on a typewriter šŸ˜³ onto paper, then had to be printed on a mimeograph machine. Everyone is in fact chilled, but are just highly interested in knowing how we did versus the rest of the participants. Thatā€™s a good thing. It is just disappointing when all of our high-tech tools let us down.šŸ˜Ž
  19. OK, final two day results.......... Vegas CT Overall Class Results.pdf
  20. So why are you wasting valuable time talking to us?šŸ™„šŸ˜‰šŸ˜‚
  21. Seems to me that we have many new drivers starting to attend our events, and that some may not know the entire scope of all the different SCCA Solo offerings. Yes, there is more than just local events, should you choose to become more involved in this sport. Click HERE for the web location displaying the info from this event. These are two day events, so just day one is up as of this writing, but the website will update as the event progresses. Also attached below is the Day One Results (PDF) from yesterday. Notice the large number of Arizona drivers there (twenty five!!!), some doing pretty well against very good competition. Vegas CT Day One Overall Results.pdf
  22. The tab says Event #4, the results are from last month, is what I see. If not correct, need a link to what youā€™re looking at. This is from our Webpage, Results tab......
  23. Kim is correct. And at a minimum, we also do a written paper backup at the timing table.
  24. Stuff happens, and sometimes things break down. Most interested in when they think it will be fixed? Too bad there wasnā€™t a back-up scoreboard. Old School can come in handy, sometimes.
