  1. If you see a "waitlist position" message, I promise you're registered. I can see Glenda plus three others so far. Guess I have more work to do...I am seeing other weirdness. I pushed us to a new PHP version and that might be breaking things.
  2. January event is the 24th. I'll have the full schedule entered into the registration system later tonight. Registration will open one week from today at 7pm.
  3. I've been informed that nobody is able to select classes for the event. The problem is I probably need to specify what classes are valid for 2021. Sorry, my mistake. I will have this issue corrected this evening after work and will post here when things should be working again.
  4. Yes, there will almost certainly be a January event. I just don't have the schedule yet or I would've updated the website. Hopefully I didn't miss an email...
  5. Two day combined results are now available.
  6. Tonight's announcements: Some of you paid for two days, but only registered for one. You need to register individually for Saturday and Sunday. Please double check your entries now. This is not a thing I can fix - if you're not on the list for Saturday, you don't get in the gate! If you're not on the list for Sunday, same story! Make sure you are on both lists! Anyone who hasn't paid by 7pm sharp tomorrow will be cancelled to make space for people on the waitlist. There will be no exceptions. I am sending courtesy emails tonight. I will not do this for future events. Going forward, it is your responsibility to make sure you pay on time. If you're on the waitlist when reg closes tomorrow at 7pm, you will get an email from me by 7:15pm telling you: You made it in to the event, you need to pay Sorry, you didn't make it in Reminder, I have instructions on how to check your waitlist status.
  7. Refund policy (this mostly applies while we're running events with entry caps): Cancel before close of registration = refund (please email me, the website doesn't send me any notifications that you cancelled) Cancel after close of registration with a good reason (car broke, you're feeling sick) = refund No show without emailing anyone = NO refund This is not a hard and fast policy. Life has gray areas. If in doubt, email me, I'm going to go out of my way to avoid being a jerk to people. That said, if you're a no show and you haven't emailed someone? Don't expect your money back. Don't expect credit for the next event. We're not going to look kindly on people who soak up an entry spot and doesn't show while there are people on a waitlist; we ask that you go out of your way to avoid being a jerk to people as well. I also want to emphasize that safety is important, especially in the middle of a pandemic. If you're feeling sick, PLEASE do not show up to the event because you're afraid I won't refund you; email me (even if it's the morning of the event) and tell me you feel sick and I'll get you a refund. I had someone cancel last event because they were struck by insomnia and felt it was unsafe to autox on no sleep. That is a GREAT call and I offered them a refund. Please don't be afraid to email me.
  8. My condolences John. That's a terrible week. I've refunded yours and your son's entries. Hope you feel better soon.
  9. This will be live at 8am. When you go to register, it will tell you that the event is full and you can register on the waitlist. When you fill out the form and click the Register button, you will get sent to another page with the following two possibilities: "Thanks for registering" in a green box. This means you are IN the event. Please pay. "Thanks for registering" in a yellow box, plus your position on the waitlist. Don't pay yet. Note that either option is possible at any time! While you are filling out the reg form, someone might register ahead of you, or cancel their entry. So an event that might have room when you get to the form might be full when you hit Register (yes, this actually happened! Someone is on the waitlist and they don't know it.). An event that's full might have room when you hit Register. Etc. The info you see after you hit Register is the real truth (unless someone comes and deletes an entry right after you, lol). Now if you go back to the front page, it will say you are registered for the event. That just means we have your registration info for the event, the front page isn't smart enough to detect if you're waitlisted or not. If you click the "update/cancel my registration" button, it will take you to the form and there should be a line in bold indicating your waitlist position. From here you can click Register again (if you need to make changes), and I promise that doing so does not change your place in the line. Even if you don't make any changes, clicking Register when you're already registered is 100% harmless, I do it all the time while I'm testing my changes. Once you're off the waitlist, you can use this trick to get to the "registered" page, and the payment info will populate once you're in the event. Speaking of which, there should now be an "add to cart" button, I found a bug that was hiding this for most users. Any general questions about the waitlist feature or how to use it, post here. Any event specific questions, please post in the event thread. Special note for SSCC and Rallycross folks: I can turn this feature on for you as well! Please contact me as there are some specific requirements for you to use it.
  10. The waitlist feature will be turned on at 8am MST this Tuesday the 20th of October. This feature will be kinda limited to start - you'll be able to register past the 50 person cap. It will tell you that you're waitlisted. You will automatically bump off the waitlist as people cancel, but there won't be any automatic notifications to you. There will be a way for you to check if you are waitlisted or if you are bumped into the event. And that's all I can code in the time I have. I will try to have email notifications working for November or December. I will post a separate thread later with instructions for how to check your waitlist status. Registration closes at 7pm this Thursday. If you haven't paid by then, I will cancel your entry and bump someone off the waiting list.
  11. I see a '71 Vette registered for Saturday but NOT Sunday. I see you registered Saturday AND Sunday. If that's not correct then your son will need to get on the waitlist when I turn that feature on.
  12. Here are supps: https://www.azbrscca.org/autocross/supplemental.html I think Dave Rock and Rob Rockefeller are handling this, with some kind of subjective standard more or less in line with the above. We're just being cautious and we want to make sure the people who are running these first few Musselman events are experienced enough to make it through the event without instructor help (which we can't provide due to covid). You can reach out to Dave and Rob here: https://www.azbrscca.org/about/board.html And I'm sorry I haven't gotten to your question sooner, I've been swamped this week.
  13. I've addressed this here: There are only two run groups for the event. You must work one entire run group. This is a covid thing and it'll go away when the site restrictions go away.
  14. We'll see how the October events go and then talk about it at our next board meeting, the first Wednesday of November. I'll post an update then.
  15. I've updated the website with more information. Let me know if there are any questions I've missed. I'm working on the most crude implementation of a waitlist. It's not ready yet, hopefully I'll have it up this weekend. I will give at least 24 hours notice when I turn this feature on and y'all can have an F5 battle to see who gets in line first. I know that sucks, I'm working on it. No Novices again this month. Sorry. Hopefully next month?
  16. This smells like a timezone issue. Lots of calendars put all day events starting at 12am. But...that's 12am in which timezone? e.g. 12am on 11 October in EDT is 9pm on 10 October in AZ. Geolocation by IP is also an imperfect science, especially if you're running a proxy or VPN. Your forum account is probably tagged to a specific timezone, which overrides any autodetection.
  17. There was some confusion last event about run/work. Sorry if this hasn't been communicated very well - there will be some website updates coming to make this clearer, but I also want to take a moment to set the expectations here. Pre-covid, with no restrictions on entry count, we were reliably stuffing 45-50 cars per run group, across four run groups. People could do their competition runs in A, B, or C, and then do their time only (TO) runs at some point after that. With the 50 person entry limit, it's not feasible to pull that off operationally. Some heats would just not have enough workers. As long as we have this entry limit, you need to think of our events as having just two run groups: A and C. One run group consists of half of the day's entrants doing their competition runs, plus those who have also bought TO runs. So whether you are doing TOs or not, you will need to work a full run group. With the reduced run group size, it's still the same amount of time as when there are 45-50 people per run group (25 comp entries + 20 TO entries = 45 total entries...). Note that you may still see B and D run groups, but you need to understand that they exist only for timing/scoring purposes. Functionally there are only two run groups and you need to work one of them in its entirety. Let me know if there are any questions.
  18. Hi everyone, the 2020 Two Days of Awesome is a go! I've got a LOT of changes to make to the website, they will hopefully go live early next week. But I can give a sneak peak on the most important details. We will be running at Musselman again. There are still too many planes parked at Marana. $10 discount if you do both days. But we aren't forcing you to do both; you can do one or the other. Sunday counts as a Fall series event, Saturday counts as a standalone special event. We will also post special results for everyone where we combine both days, just like a national event. Due to covid, no group dinner Saturday night. 😞 For those of you interested in overnight camping or RV parking, we're working on those details and we'll have more for you soon. Any other questions, feel free to post here. Hope to see you all out there!
  19. FYI, the date for the November event has been pushed back one week to 11/22. The event will be held at Musselman.
  20. Here is my fast TO run: I'm holding off on showing the other runs, too much rust. 😂
  21. It will be hot. Bring way more water than you think you need. Way way more. Heat stroke is very serious.
  22. I can't say for sure if there will be course maps on site - this is a detail I didn't consider. Given what we know about fomite transmission (or the lack thereof), I don't think we'll change that any (edit: I realize I didn't answer the question; we typically have course map copies at registration but we don't normally post the map online before the event). But maybe it's something to discuss in a board meeting. The run work on the website is technically correct, which is the best kind of correct. 🙂 On your reg sheet there will still be four run groups, A through D - and we do it that way mostly for timing/scoring purposes. But from an operational perspective it should flow like two run groups - if your comp runs are in A, you are doing TOs in B. The rest of the schedule is unchanged. There might be a parade lap. That's above my pay grade.
  23. Reg has been open for a little over 12 hours and there are 16 open spots remaining! Guess we're all a little starved for some cone dodging. 🙂 The reg software doesn't have waitlists. I apologize if you try to register and it's full, I realize that's not a great experience, but we've never had to deal with entry limits before. Waitlists are not a simple feature to add - it's something we'll look at doing in the near future, but I can't promise you when.
