yushikaneda Posted June 7 Posted June 7 We all know how fun autocross events are — no question about it. That is mainly due to the fun courses that our staff members had authored. These creators have their private lives and need to take breaks. So, we are now looking for a volunteer as one of the Board Member roles, “Chief of Course”. As a Board Member, you will have the registration fee waived for our events, and your volunteer work will be counted as the work assignment on the day of the event. Your responsibility will be to create a safe course, which is the #1 priority (there are other people to help ensuring safety), and make it fun, where your creativity (and perhaps experience) really counts! We are fully aware that creating a course from scratch is a high hurdle to jump over, but we have a great deal of previous course maps that we can use as templates to tweak. Please let any of the board members know if you are interested in volunteering in that role. Quote
DanG Posted June 7 Posted June 7 If you want some more general course design background this is a good resource: https://www.scca.com/articles/1998520-need-a-project-learn-the-art-of-solo-course-design (fun to read thru even if you don't design a course) If you want to test things out first we can always use a "guest" course designer as well.
