  1. I saw that too. Anyone have Ducey's number?🤪
  2. Yep, registration is already open, limited to only the first 50 drivers. Spots are going fast. Go HERE to register. Club and Event details can be found HERE Until Gov. Ducey gets with the program, and lifts outdoor event restrictions, we are still stuck with the 50 limit. Nevada just went to 250. Just saying...... Very glad to see there are no other event conflicts this time.👍😎😉. Thank you.👏
  3. A few things. First, to have to transition to a completely new site, and redefine where everything goes, and then anticipate the flow of people as well as functions (Tech, staging, pits, timing table, start, finish), this doesn’t just happen. Then, to pull it all off this smoothly speaks highly of this Team. Well done. Now toss in a completely new surface arrangement, with a mix of parking lot and road course, and to be able to blend all this well was a major accomplishment. Great course, BTW. I’m sure lessons were learned for next time, but wow, well done Border Region. Looking forward to the next event(s). What’s next, the “Two Days of Awesome?”.👍
  4. Updated 10-01-2020 More good news. Tucson Solo Events will be at the Musselman Honda Circuit for the foreseeable future. Their dates are active again! Yea! Half road course, half parking lot. Many options. ALL events shown here are open to all drivers and cars.
  5. Good question.... Typically no, only Phoenix does that. In the past paper copies were available at Registration, but many things are different these days. Not sure how they will handle that. Posting online would be more Covid-compliant. Maybe one of their Steering Committee knows and will share. Manfred? Edit/Added: Is this timeline still accurate? On your Website the Run/Work is not. I know there is no Novice Walk (Duh). Any differences for Waiver or Tech? I have a Yearly Tech Card......and my own pen.😉 Site Open 7:00am Registration & Tech Open 7:45am Registration Closes 8:30am Tech Closes 8:45am Novice Walk 8:45am Mandatory Site Meeting Everyone on site for the event must attend, driving or not.
  6. Getting there.......... Houghton is closed for construction, take the Rita Rd exit, to Rocket Stravenue (Old Vail?), to Harrison. Google Maps seems to know this.👍
  7. Hey, know this. I am on record as not being a fan of current SCCA Classing strategies. It has grown in numbers of Classes and complexities over the past years to the point that someone new has no clue how the system flows or works. It is next to impossible to decipher your correct Class without help. And even I (who's been doing this since before SCCA even knew about Autocrossing), can't just think up what Class someone would correctly be in without doing rules research. Depending on even some small and seemingly insignificant car mods, someone can find themselves way up the PAX Ladder. Look and see what a carbon-fiber hood does to you.😉 Too bad NASA-X didn't catch on better. In that Classing world they use a "points-added" structure for Mods, and they only have NINE Classes total. If you add a thing or two, each one carries a "points weight", and all you have to do is take the starting points value for your car, and do a little math. By adding a few things, you only move up a class or maybe two. It's all linear. But then, we wouldn't have about eighty or more Classes (and Trophies?) anymore........😂
  8. No doubt he registered there. But there are NO Mustangs (or Corvettes😉) in STS. Here's the Ford STS cars: Ford Escort GT (1991-96) Fiesta (1.0T EcoBoost) Fiesta (non-turbo) (2011-19)* Focus (non-turbo) ZX2 & Excort ZX2 (1998-2003) In the Street Touring Classes, best he could do would be STU; very tough Pax and Competition. There is ESP too. Better than STU. His best bet is CAM-T. CAM T (Traditional) (car and truck body styles originating from 1948-2000) Examples: Chevrolet Camaro (-2002), Ford Mustang (-2004) Sedans/coupes with seating originally for 4 or more adults and trucks. Interior floor covering(s) may be replaced, but not removed. Weight without driver, minimum (lbs.)...........................................3000 Additional weight for Lexan® windshield (lbs.)...............................+150
  9. Hey, In Novice Class, the Baker 95 Mustang is not in STS. Guessing probably Cam-T?
  10. Fewer than 16 spots there, already. Going fast.
  11. Hello, again. Good news, Tucson has developed a new site for their autocrossing, until the darn airplanes leave the Marana Airport. We think. So, next Sunday, September 27th, there will be an autocross at the Musselman Honda Circuit (11800 S Harrison Rd, Tucson, AZ 85747) as a test event there. Part parking lot, part road course. See Tucson site for details ( HERE ), limited to only 50 drivers, spots going fast. Pre-entries and pre-pay only.
  12. Dave, are open-faced helmets still OK for us? Someone noticed that their PDF of regulations mentioned having full-faced helmets. I think they meant for open vehicles. Under “Participants”...... EDIT - This just in from a AZBR source, open-faced helmets are fine. Yea!
  13. Very sad that Phoenix has a conflicting date, but Sierra Vista autocrosses are more unique and special. So I had to choose. We’re coming here. Well run, fun, do I need to mention cooler? And the airport concrete surface? Didn’t think so.😉 We are comfortable driving down the day before, having dinner, hotel, then the next morning breakfast and out to the event. If you are not, don’t. It’s a lot of driving for one day from the Phoenix area. I expect to see the usual Northern drivers in attendance. 😎
  14. There may be a waiting list......Dave would know. 👍
  15. As addicted as I was to the old site, liking this one better every day, as I re-learn where everything is. Well done. Will this site get it’s own special Results Button someday? Whats “down the road”?
  16. Very sorry to be missing our first event back at AMP. Hate date conflicts. Hope that doesn’t happen again. Looking forward to reports from you-all back on the courses and the rest. Take notes.😉👍
  17. So then..........why is there an Annual SCCA Waiver? I just have to ask........😂 What would be the point? Do know that AMP has a separate waiver. **I just called SCCA Member Services.......the Annual SCCA Waiver is valid at ALL SCCA Racing and Solo Events, including Trans Am. Sites (such as AMP) may of course have their own requirements, but SCCA is satisfied with theirs. Doesn't it seem that this purpose is exactly what this Annual Waiver is for? To do away with the need for a physical piece of paper? And now, that waiver service? Of course, *we* could choose to not use it.😶 Seems that it helps us.
  18. The hard copy (card) is valid at every SCCA Solo Event. That's what it's for. To replace the physical need to sign a waiver. I have one too.
  19. Go to the Sound Sticker section......http://forum.azsolo.com/index.php?/topic/84-sound-sticker/ Look up the part about a “Provisional Sticker”. Unless your car is heavily modded, you likely would be OK. *No one* can do actual sound checks this day, the road course is busy.
  20. Yep, so I was told. It’s a local choice to block the list from non-entrants. Too bad. I like to follow what my friends are doing even at events I can’t attend. Very glad SCCA National does not share that view.
  21. This is what I get.....notice it states I’m logged in. ??? What did I miss? It works for the Champ Tour (2nd photo). Thx for any help.
  22. FWIW, SCCA National also uses MSR for its events, and even though I (and others) can’t attend most of those events, its nice being able to review the list of entrants for each. Helps let you keep track of one’s friends. I’d like to ask that you enable that feature for us locally. I believe it’s a setting with the MSR features. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  23. Go to this old link.......... http://www.azsolo.com/backup/index.php/events-info/results Save it. I deleted all of my old links, never thinking I'd need them again. I hear they are working on adding a results button to the new site.
