  1. At this very moment, there are only 2 spots left for the March 12, 2022, Test-N-Tune/Practice event left. That will take the number of entries to the maximum cap. of 72, 24 cars per group. If you are thinking about entering the event, you better sign up before the last two spots are filled. If you sign up after the last two spots are filled, you will be placed on a waitlist. For your convenience, here is the link to register for the event. AZ Solo Autocross Spring 2022 Series Test N Tune (motorsportreg.com)
  2. Scott - yes, everyone will get a windshield sticker from Registration just like a regular points series event.
  3. Additionally, you will receive your Grid Space Assignnent, via email, prior to Event Day. On Event Day, and after you complete the waiver process, please drive to your assigned Grid Space, and park and unload your car. You will need to check in with Registration. After you check in with registration,, and if you have not had your vehicle annual teched, you will need to take your helmet and your vehicle to Tech. After you successfully completed Tech, please return to your Grid Space. After the registration and tech processes are completed, you should have received a "Red" wristband. This wristband is in addition to the wristband you will receive from the waiver station. Both wristbands are required to be worn and visible. You will need to produce the red wristband for the Region provided lunch. You should arrive early. Please familiar yourself with the Event times regarding various times preceeding to the first car out at 8:15AM. The event schedule is posted in a separate posting on this Forum
  4. Aaron: I am the Event Chair for the Test-N-Tune event. At your leisure, please PM me or contact me by my email nokones@kenmitchell.com
  5. Attached is the Grid Map for the Test-N-Tune (TNT) Event only. The Sunday event will revert back to the normal format. There will be three-Grid Sections, one for each run group. Every driver will be assigned a permanent Grid Space for the entire day and may keep their car in their assigned Grid Space. There will be ample room (15' Wide) to perform any changes or repairs as necessary, layout support equipment or tires, etc. in your assigned Grid Space without interfering with your neighbor in the space next to you. In Grid Section "A" identified as spaces, A1-10, the odd number spaces will be in front of the even number spaces from left to right as you are looking in a southern direction. In Grid Section "A" identified as A11-24, the grid positions pickup from the right and work to the left with the odd number spaces in front of the even numbered spaces behind. Grid Section "B" will be numbered from B1-24 in that section just like any other PASR point series event. Grid Section C, identified as C1-16, will start from the left, as you are looking in a southern direction. The Odd Numbered spaces will be in front of the Even numbered spaces in the rear. Grid Section C, identified as Grid C17-24, will start from the right and work towards the left with the odd number spaces in front and the even number spaces in the rear. Each Grid Space will be numbered to identify each space. There is a small area of Grid Section A that will be coned off as a "No Parking Zone". This space is reserved for the Lunch Vendor. Directly behind the Grid "B" Section, this Area may be utilized for co-driver vehicles that are not being driven in the event and for Support Vehicles, without trailers, on a first come first served basis. The small area to the left of Grid C Spaces 17-24, is reserved as an overflow or unidentified need for the event. Please do not park in this reserved space unless you have permission or been directed by an Event Official. The Event Planning Committee is continuing to explore other improvements in order to facilitate a smooth operating event for the drivers and the Event Staff. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at: nokones@kenmitchell or by replying to this post.TNT Grid Map - Revised.pdf
  6. I made a very minor change to the Event Operation Schedule. The revised schedule is attached to the original post. All the times stay the same. I just removed the item that called the cars to Grid. We will have three Grids whereas you will be assigned a permanent Grid Space all day. A Grid Map will be posted to a separate post on this Forum.
  7. Scott: We are looking at various options to make it easier/simple for both the drivers and event staff for the Test-N-Tune event only. The Sunday event should be the normal procedure. We will know more after this morning what would be the option.
  8. John: Please check my original post. The Event Operation Schedule is attached and that will be schedule for the event. If for some reason that you signed up for a group that you do not want, you might be able to edit your entry and make the change you desire before Reg opens up tonight, providing that the change you make is at max. cap.
  9. Attached is the Test-N-Tune Event Operation Schedule for Saturday, March 12, 2022. You should print it out and have a copy with you during the event so you know when you will be running, working, resting, and when is your assigned Lunch Period starts. PLEASE NOTE THE MORNING TIMES BEFORE THE FIRST CAR GOES OUT AT 8:15. MOST OF THESE TIMES ARE EARLIER THAN A REGULAR SEASON POINTS EVENT. As a note, we are looking into the possibility of having three Grid Areas. This will allow you to Grid your car the entire day in the same space. If this comes to fruition, the Group C drivers will utilize Grid #3 and not Grid #1. The Group A drivers will be able to keep their cars in their space all day. Grid #1 will start from the East End of the Grid Area with Grid #3 at the West End. Also, we will try to have your Grid Assignments identified prior to the event and will post the assignments on this Forum. When you arrive on-site, drive to your Space and unload your car. If you do not have an annual tech inspection, you will need to have your car teched for the day. All cars will be checked for an Annual Tech Inspection Sticker, that should be affixed to the inside of your driver's door, prior to you starting your first run. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at nokones@kenmitchell.com and/or contact any Board Member, or you may post your question to this forum. Test-N-Tune Event Schedule - 3 Run Groups.pdf
  10. The Phoenix AZ Solo Region (PASR) is hosting a Test-N-Tune event on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Arizona Motorsports Park (AMP). This event will not be part of the PASR Spring Season Point Series. The next PASR Spring Season Point Series Event, will be the following day, with a different course design. If you wish to enter both events you must separately register for them, details to follow. No on-site registration will be held. This event is for you to practice on developing your driving skills and/or trying out different chassis or tire setups, etc. There will be no recording/posting of your times, rather you will receive a timing slip for each run, as you exit the course. We will not be recording cones hit or DNFs. The run-time marked on each timing slip will be for you to use to measure the various testing phases to see what works best. The event format will consist of a run/work/rest period in both the morning and afternoon sessions. Each session will have three run groups. Yes, with only one entry, you will get to run, work, and rest in both the morning and afternoon sessions. The Region will provide each entry with a lunch, lunch for guests (after the entrants are fed) may be available for purchase from the vendor until sold out. The Region will put a maximum Cap on the number of entries and that number will be met very fast so we would recommend to quickly sign-up when the event is open for registration on the MSR. The event will be posted approximately two weeks prior to the event. As with all SCCA events, you must be a valid member or have a weekend pass to enter the event and you may bring a guest to the practice event. You will be required to forward the Speedwaiver Link to your event guest and they must complete the Speedwaiver prior to arriving on-site. No annual tech will be conducted at this event. The event Schedule will be posted to this forum in the near future to list the various times for arriving on-site, course open for walk, drivers’ safety meeting, first car-out, run and work groups, and rest periods, and the cost of each event entry. Registration will open on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 8:00 PM Arizona Standard Time. If you have any questions about this event, post here or ask any PASR Steering Committee member or myself. I can be reached by email at nokones@kenmitchell.com
  11. What performance modifications have done to your car that places you in CAM-S?
  12. The Annual Tech would also help facilitate the registration process for the March 12, Test-N-Tune event so everyone can get boo-koo runs. More Test-N-Tune event details will follow after the event tomorrow. Also, everyone that gets their annual tech done by tomorrow will get a free lunch at the Test-N-Tune event.
  13. My Flowmaster Laminar stainless steel 4 1/2" chamber 30" long with a 3 1/2" inlet and outlet passes sound with flying colors on my 643 horsepower small block Chevrolet engine in my C4 Corvette.
  14. Performance Auto and Tire in Mesa on Superstition Springs. They'll give you a discount if you mention SCCA. Or, just zbout any Dixcount Tire Store.
  15. Performance Automotive has been pretty good and they will give you a discount for being a SCCA member. There are/were two not related Performance Automotives so be careful. The one to use is on Superstition Springs in Mesa. Some Discount Tire Stores are also good to use.
  16. Those poor little itty bitty cones. The cone gods will hunt you down if you abuse them.
  17. Can someone tell me what is the radio frequency used for the Region's low-powered FM radio transmitter? I would like to program my new toy so I can hear the announcements over the PA System out in the North 40 parking lot.
  18. In the MSR event details for the next event, it says download using the link, print, sign, and bring paper copy to Waiver Station. Are we back to bringing AMP Waiver paper again? Just curious.
  19. I corded the edge of the rears of my Hoosier A7s but, not as bad. And, I have replacements. This time I'm going back to the 200 Treadware tires.
  20. I noticed the new Region is not listed in the table of Clubs for adding to your MSR account. Will the new Region be added sometime soon? Just curious.
  21. That looks like the form I used last January that I got from this website by clicking in the News tab, click on the Documents button and then click on the Annual Tech button and you'll get the same form if you click on the link that Jeff Z pasted to his posting.
  22. Can we have our car(s) inspected tomorrow and have it qualify for the 2022 Annual Tech Inspection or do we have to wait until next month?
