JasonT1124
I'm brand new to this but I've been interested in Autocross for quite some time. I think I'm finally ready to jump in. I've been reading and searching but I'm totally lost on how to class my car. It is a 1968 Mustang with stock style front suspension, modified rear suspension (still leaf spring setup). It has a fuel injected motor from an 88 Mustang. Thanks for any help you can provide!
freakin_elrod
Sound like you have a CAM-T build in the making. @SSLance may be able to chime in as well as the other CAM-T competitors of this region.
JasonT1124
I did find that class while trying to read through all the options and it did seem to fit. Glad to see you reinforce my initial assumption here... Thanks! I'll wait to see if any others chime in.
SSLance
Plus, the CAM T guys are just fun to hang out with and race against... Here's a picture of Erik Gagnon's early Mustang the he races with us in CAM T. Can't wait to see your car.
JasonT1124
Right on! I believe I've seen that car at the Good Guys events. It gets me excited to give it a try with my car. I'm going to register for the January event... anything else I should know or do ahead of time?
SSLance
We are having an annual tech day at my house on Jan 7. Most of the CAM T guys will be there. You have to be an annual member with SCCA to do annual tech but you should stop by anyway to hang out with us and check our cars out. We'll show you the ropes for sure... http://msreg.com/PASRAnnualTechDay
JasonT1124
It's a bit of hike for me (east Mesa), but I'll plan to be there. Thanks for being so welcoming to a newbie!

Thanks for being so welcoming to a newbie! So, was this the satin black early Mustang that made it to the Tech day? If so sorry I didn't get a chance to talk with you or spend much time looking at it (I was kinda busy). Some of the other muscle car guys said it's a pretty nice ride though. Can't wait to look it over a bit closer.
Ron Brown
Hi, New to AZ Solo and looking to give it a try at the next event. I think I would fit into CAM T. I have a 1971 Pontiac Trans Am. Mostly stock. A little more power and newer Tires. Does this class seem correct? Thanks Ron Brown
MTP-Madmat
CAM-T is the perfect class for your T/A. There are usually 2 other T/A’s with us. One of the few rules in CAM is tires are limited to a 200 treadwear minimum which is most tires. Come out and have fun with us. Usually about 18 cars in CAM-T.
