  1. From Brian Miller, enjoy his write up! Kim Pylon Press Jan 2021 Final 2.pdf
  2. For the February event there is another organization that is renting the track so we cannot do AMP sound checks that day, cars will run on a provisional basis (which means if our tech thinks the car will pass you will be permitted to run however if tech does not believe the car will pass your registration fee will be refunded). That said if a car blows sound running provisionally that car is done running. The vast majority of stock cars with stock exhaust will pass.
  3. for the February event there is another organization that is renting the track so we cannot do sound checks that day, cars will run on a provisional basis. That said if a car blows sound running provisional that car is done running, so you may wish to set up the car conservative for sound.
  4. just a note please wear your mask when you are at the waiver station đź‘Ť
  5. a helmet with a ECE 22.05 rating is permitted
  6. you can move out of novice at any time you wish, no requirement for a minimum number of events in novice
  7. According to the AMP calendar, it appears AMP has rented the road course on Saturday to a third party, so except for that event’s entrants there will be no sound tests conducted for the general public. As mentioned in Lance’s post above cars without sound stickers must be registered in A or B, to limit the number of folks on site at any point during the day for COVID reasons.
  8. yes full restroom facilities and yes we have a novice category, hope you can attend in the near future
  9. he ran provisionally at the PCA events as the track was rented and not available for sound testing, combined with knowledge that a stock C7 grand sport will pass sound
  10. All Give Brian Miller's December Pylon Press a read! thank you Brian for doing this SCCA Dec Newsletter Final.pdf
  11. Not aware of any restrictions on novices for AZ Solo events, we continue to have a number of novices attend our Fall series events.
  12. Mike Terrey listed as SS open was running Hoosiers yesterday, needs to be reclassed as SSP open.
  13. Dadio you might consider placing a free db app on your phone, have a friend stand 50 feet from the street aim phone stationary (don’t follow the car) directly at the car as you drive past at the top (rpm) of second or third (depends on gearing but at around 50-60 mph). That should give you a decent sense of whether the car will be a sound issue at AMP. AMP limit is 96 db. If the exhaust on your 2020 is stock that car should be fine.
  14. We are required by SCCA to follow local/state COVID guidance to hold events and secure insurance that AMP and SCCA mandate. AMP’s position on the matter is their business decision but has no bearing on the SCCA position. Would encourage anyone to petition the Governor or SCCA to remove or lessen their restrictions.
  15. Actually you run laps in a morning session and an afternoon session. You get a 3/4 lap warm up and then 3-4 flying laps. All laps timed separately. Number of laps depends on number of entrants and course design. Course map is sent via MSR prior to the event. Similar to SCCA course design with slightly higher speeds. call me if you have other questions Kim 480 231 9315
  16. our event is separate and apart from the track event
