Banner Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 (edited) Hi Everybody, I've been wanting to get into AutoX for years now and the time has finally come. Where can I get more information about the Novice School that will be held on Nov. 14th? Thank you! J Edited October 7, 2020 by Banner Quote
Dave Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 So we aren't going to be running a driver's school this year. Instead, it will be a test and tune day. Well be making some announcements about it soon, and if they relax restrictions, we should have some instructors annular that day if you'd like some help. But that one is a bit out of our hands at this point... 1 1 Quote

Long ago there were club scales, but it's been a long time since I've seen any mention of them.... so I'm not sure if they're around any more. Quote
Dave Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 We did get the scales functional again, so we will probably bring them out for that event. Can't make any promises, but we will do our best to have them there. 1 Quote
Banner Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 Being that this would be my first event and given the current situation, would there still be time to explain how the course work is done along with walking the course? I'm just not familiar with process. 🙂 Quote
morbid Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 (edited) Banner, the SCCA guide would be a good start. On page 57 is where course penalties (including specifics about pylons) are discussed. https://solo.stlscca.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/2020-SCCA-Solo-Rules-3-16-20.pdf You'd want to get there early enough so that you'd have time to walk the course at least 2 times. If there's a walking group where someone is explaining specifics about each section of the course, that would also be good for you... but I'm not sure if those are going on right now. Andy Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Is there any word on group size limit for the Test and Tune yet? Is it going to have registration like normal events? Quote
Dave Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 It will be registration like normal events. Usually we keep reg numbers low for events like these... we're working out the details of the event currently, we should have something to post on it soon. 2 Quote
