  1. Very nice and useful. Thank you. Bookmarked. In fact Admin, please considering pinning this in the Forums. Might save Bucki a lot of extra work.😉
  2. Guys, please add a signature line to your account, or make your Forum name your real name. We like to get to know people, and I will NEVER call anyone "Awesome".😉 Thanks.
  3. Lance and Matthew, thank you thank you thank you for posting these more detailed run/work lists. It is very interesting as well as useful to have this information. It was always done years ago, and has been sorely missed. Also folks, ——-> be aware you can “copy/paste” this information and turn it into a sortable spreadsheet should you want that information for your records. I’m going to use these to create a small results table for my comparisons. The current real results won’t allow that…. yet. See everyone tomorrow.😎👍
  4. I for one would like to see the Club schedule another “special event” or even an event from our Series at either the AMP short track or the ex-Bondurant School road course. To my knowledge they were popular, and a nice change of pace from our norm. Please? 😎👍👏
  5. So….. how accessible is this for Clubs? Anyone know anyone?😎
  6. Just saw on the news this morning, a "Ford Driving Skills for Life" event for Teens. It was being hosted on a larger-looking parking lot near 27th Ave and Lower Buckeye Road. Anyone know more about this location? Looked industrial.......i.e. not noise sensitive.😉😎
  7. Ken, were you not here when we put on some autocrosses at AMP and the Bondurant School road course? For many years we hosted the occasional road course/Solo events. We are very familiar with the mandated SCCA required safety procedures to do so.
  8. Good. It’s fun to pick on the Corvettes…….😉😉😉
  9. They say one can never go home again.......AM/PM format, huh?😉 Back in the "early" days when we were running 200-240 cars we had EIGHT Run Groups, with Morning Groups A-B-C-D, and then Afternoon groups E-F-G-H. There were two Driver's meetings, and two course walks. That format was very popular thus the great numbers. During the summer sometimes we ran evening events, that pulled great numbers too. We also ran a Daytime Summer Series every year, and a Driver's School. We had Awards "Banquets" attended by 80-110 people at restaurants.😳 On the other hand, this was mostly at Firebird Skidpad #4, nicknamed The "Postage Stamp". It was smaller. We usually had only three runs, (once in a while four) thus the TO's were very popular. Before you go off on a "Who likes smaller courses tangent", know that the answer was ......many people. Me included. I know people who will not run AMP today because the courses are just too big and too fast. Back in those early days thus we had many more spouses and families attend. Less intimidating. More like an actual autocross, and less like a mini track day. Also know that we could set up very early, and stay until done. There were no time, number or noise constraints as at AMP today. So, while AMP is many things, there are also things it is not. There are things I really miss from the early autocross days. Much more sense of community and camaraderie then. We need to be looking more actively for alternatives, IMO. AMP is a blessing in many ways, but could quickly go away depending on the economy. It's site is highly valued in the business community. Thoughts to chew on.😎😉
  10. Thanks for the heads up. Hoping you can get Musselman. Happy hunting.
  11. I thought AMP now prefers us to sign at the Track.
  12. So will you then you guys restore tomorrow night's Registration? Or leave it Monday?
  13. The Tucson registration site states Musselman, but Marana Airport has kept Tucson Region “on standby” each month. I’m sure Manfred will share the latest news when there’s …… any news. So, until then, it’s Musselman. Arizona Border Region Registration opens Fri, Nov 5, 7:00pmSunday, November 14 at Musselman Honda Circuit
  14. Thank you everyone. Ask Glenda, she says my real middle name is ‘lost”. 😂
  15. Kim, it would be appreciated if the setup Crew could put some pointer cones out there to make it easier to see for us morning folks. I personally found even the old entrance a little challenging before in the dark. This one might be more so. Please?🙏
  16. For future reference, should I try to edit my run group, and find my new choice full, do I get to keep my existing first choice? Or lose my place in line? In other words, is editing safe? I worry about stuff like that.😉
  17. If a chosen worker position is filled, since there's only one of most of them, the system should default those to "Course" rather than the Waitlist. Would solve a lot of problems.
  18. I ran my Subaru BRZ, not Glenda's Veloster N. (I'm not allowed access 😂 ). Josh was supposed to change that. Somehow MSR apparently chooses cars randomly from your Garage, since I did not choose the Veloster. I thought it would carry over my last active choice, the BRZ, but MSR did not. Be aware. Also, Lee Reforma should be in DS Open, and not Novice. He had graduated by winning Novice last Series. Guessing the same thing must have happened to him, the system just chose for him.
  19. We need to be pro-active seeking other sites in case Dan Maloney ever decides owning AMP is not all that much fun, and decides to sell the property to the business community. I’ll bet he’s had offers. What do you mean by “same day events in greater Phoenix Area”? PCA is the only other area autocross club here, and even Kim K can’t be in two places at the same time.😉
  20. For those of you newer to this sport, typically we have our local events in Phoenix, Marana/Musselman, and Sierra Vista. And we also have locally a number of top National-level drivers who reside locally, so we get to see a taste of what excellence in the sport look s like. Once in a while, thanks to the Tucson Club and a great site, we have a special two-day event just like the larger National Events in California, Nevada, and Texas. And these events will draw some of the better Solo Drivers from farther away to come and compete. This is such an event. So, if you want to get your feet wet against some of the top drivers in the Country, be sure to come on down and enter this event, once or both days. It's like watching Brian Peters or Doug Rowse times ten. Weather's looking great too. See you there?
  21. I believe I read somewhere for the duration of Tucson’s Marana access that they would be using the eastern entrance, like the last event. I might be wrong, but I have some recall of that. Not of how to pay correctly, apparently, but entrances I’ve mastered.😂😉👍
  22. Phil, me just using the computer rather that an iPad made all the difference. Now if someone doesn’t have a Mac and only an iPhone or iPad, issue. I’m good. Thanks.
  23. I only use an iPhone for this stuff in an emergency. Usually use an iPad. So I went to my desktop computer (also a Mac) and found that things scroll much more quickly. This is doable. Thanks for the hint, Lance. Got me thinking. Bet I wasn't the only one frustrated. Do NOT use an iPhone or iPad to view these pics.
  24. Really? I spent about five minutes scrolling and never made it to Group C, let alone my Group B. There’s gotta be a way to jump sections to shorten this process. Even in a long PDF document (like the SCCA Rulebook) I can “fast scroll” and keep those pages moving fast. Not with this. It pauses the effort as (I guess) each page or two reloads. Takes forever. Please share some shortcut for us (me?). Or am I missing something? Help?😵‍💫
  25. Photos start with Group D it seems. Any of Groups A and B? If I scroll a lot will I find some? Thx.
